Description

What was supposed to be just a moderately priced build for around maybe a little over $1000 turned into this. I saved up for around half a year and once I had my funds I just decided to go all out. It is my first build so the cables are pretty messy and I realize now that the mobo is slightly overkill for what I'm doing with it.

Concerning the CPU stock cooler. I didn't see a reason to buy a cpu cooler because even though it's just a little extra I don't feel I need it. I'll explain, I haven't had any problems with my CPU overheating, so why bother. Also I put a 1000w power supply in it because it was on sale for a really good price.

Since it's my first build the cable management is pretty messy but I plan on cleaning it up eventually.

This rig is everything I thought it would be and I couldn't be more satisfied with my part choices.

Wow... Where's the excitement for having a new PC? If it's OK with you... then OK... I would be a happy person for this new rig. Enjoy your build!

Edited: (The only thing I don't quite understand is, why a 1000 wattage PSU? A 750w/850w~ would have worked too and saved some money. Unless you had a good deal I suppose?)

Yeah the 1000w psu was on sale at the time. I didn't have the time to write a full description but I'm going to write one. I've had this built for a while so I guess the excitement isn't as much as when I first booted it up. But don't get me wrong I am very happy.

Yes, a ton of it. I recently filled it with potassium powder. Everything is ruined now.

I like it :) I've heard that the intel stock cooler with a 4790K is nowhere near adequate :/ I think you should get a cpu cooler, even a cheap one. Otherwise, great build! +1

Thank you! I haven't had any heat problems with the stock cooler.

Yeah its ok... For the price could have tidied up the cables a bit... Looks like no effort went into this besides cash. What ever

could have gotten 2 980ti in sli if you were willing to spend 300 more, the 980 ti are beast

The 980ti wasn't out when I built this and I got the 980s for around $940. If it was out at the time I would have done 2 980ti in sli.

You managed to spend $2500 and a PC and didn't even pick up a decent CPU cooler?

Spends over $2000 on PC, doesn't buy cpu cooler, describes it with it's k.

you spent over 2000 on a PC and don't have an actual CPU cooler. k.

You spent 2000 bucks on a computer and didn't tidy up the cables that much. k.

And now my control witch hunt really takes place. Why did you spend 300 dollars on a mother board which is only useful if your doing a custom loop, and get blue fans and blue ram on a red and black board. That mobo is specifically for overclocking and you can't do that on the stock CPU cooler.

Anyways nice build, but tidy up cables and put a real description, as well as more pics.

Yeah I need to do some cable management. I kinda went overkill on the mobo. This was my first build. And I like the red and blue :[
