Description

This is my mini itx build. Not my first, not my last. Its also not the first skylake build I've done but is my favorite because I really enjoy mini itx SFF builds.

I first built this pc outside the case because it took a month to get to me because I prerecorded it then it shipped from Taiwan. The only issues I had were the memory not being able to be set to the proper frequency even when XMP was enabled. The pc wouldn't boot and I had to reset it back to default setting to 2133 Mhz. I fixed this issue by reinstalling windows. I don't know how but it was my last resort and it worked. Getting 2666 Mhz without XMP enabled or voltages being messed with.

I plan on upgrading my GPU once the new Pascal ones come out and upgrade to a 4k monitor. :D

Most excellent, this looks like a serious machine! Making me want an NCase over here.

One of my favorite too. I wanted it for years but couldn't justify the price. Finally had enough money to just go for it and pre-order it.

What software are you using in temperatures pic? (Red/White)

I'm using NZXTs Cam software. You don't have to own the Grid + 2 to use the software. I like its accuracy and customization. Heres the link: https://camwebapp.com/

How did you get the Asus GeForce GTX 970 STRIX to fit? My NCASE v5 arrived yesterday, and I just saw your build. I was about to order the card you chose, as the reviews are excellent, but NCASE states it doesn't fit:

"Cards with PCBs that extend to the full height at the corners will not fit due to interference from the chassis. This includes the oversized ASUS Strix and Matrix series cards. See this post for more information." ( https://www.ncases.com Compatibility tab)

Haha I don't man thats weird I just put it in at an angle and then lowered it the last centimeter down to the PCIE. I did have to remove the left bottom side panel grasp thing thats on the case. You might be able to tell if you look at the pictures. But that was the only thing interfering.

Don't see many N1 cases around. I remember they got noticed for a while then the hype died down.

Hey - what kind of wifi speeds are you getting? I have the same mobo, and I can't seem to get the thing to turn on the 5GHz radio, or 802.11 AC... got any suggestions? (PS our builds are almost twinsies)

Congrats, I am planning my Ncase build and I am looking through cooling solution. My question is that doesn't the H105 backplate interfere the IC in the back of the motherboard?

I had no issues with it.

Love the Ncase, was thinking to downsize my ATX rig to ITX. I was wondering how hard it was to get the Strix 970 in there. I read that it wasn't possible in the case.

Yea I don't know why they say its not possible it wasn't bad at all. Bottom left plastic side panel clip needs to be removed and thats all.

This is great. I'm looking at the Ncase and plan to keep my Strix 970 (can't afford to change everything all at once!) Are the bottom fans intake? You don't need fans for exhaust?

They're Corsair SP 120 MM purple LED fans. I got them on Amazon. I put custom stickers on them for aesthetics and laughs.
