Description

Build on a budget in 2014. I am only adding this now for my personal records.

This was my first build after scraping the money together. Even in 2014, most of these parts were already a generation or two old, but it was all I could afford. Nothing was upgraded until 2018, and then all I did was add a SSD as the primary drive.

I only took a couple of pictures and am kicking myself for it now that I am trying to remember everything. I used this primarily to play Skyrim, various Fallout games, and even GTA 5 (just barely). I was able to play at medium settings for most things and not suffer to badly performance-wise.

I ended up selling this PC in 2018 and I now have the itch to build again. This time, I will build a PC worthy of the Master Race. I am still budgeting and having to buy parts one at a time but it will be worth it this time.

It's A-okay, we all gotta start somewhere :) Even something as simple as a newer budget case with a window and an inexpensive set of braided cable extensions go a long way.

I went through my Newegg history and gave custom prices to all parts to reflect how they were 5+ years ago. So the $585.93 should be accurate other than shipping. Thank you for asking.
