Description

No real purpose to this build other than gaming.

First off this machine is absolutely fantastic. I do not regret this build one bit. This is my second iteration inside a C700p

CRG9: This monitor is amazing, hands down. The way that the screen fills up your vision is something that you just have to experience to appreciate. This thing can get very bright especially in a dark room, almost too much at first. The colors pop, though HDR is something that just doesn't work on PC, do not get this monitor for that feature. The down size is just how big it is, you will need a huge desk or consider mounting options

GPS670, Logitec G502 and G915 A truly wireless experience is something that was required for this build. Nothing but high praise for all of the peripherals. The GSP670 has amazing audio that can act as a blue tooth headset. (I actually use the headset at work, even though I look like a dork, the audio quality of the speakers and the mic are par non. The volume is on the low side but nothing I would exchange it for.

Anvil II Now, I decided to switch to RBG Fusion due to the high praises of the Aorus Xtreme. The performance of the machine is top notch as well. I even secured a #1 Time Spy of similar builds. However. The lighting control has been an absolute nightmare. Even funneling everything down to Gigabyte and Thermaltake lighting has not solved the problem. I believe the issue revolves around my choice of EVGA Video Cards. For a while as a new adopter this machine was spitting out issues left and right. Everyday was troubleshooting. I have since reached a point of good enough, but not perfect to my standards.

I think with the release of TR40 I will be snagging me a 3960x, another nvme drive and a raid card. I will be swapping the 2080 Supers for a pair of Gigabyte AIO 2080 TI. (Need the threads more than cores me thinks)

Nice build! I also have the same monitor (saving it for the 3950x build) and I just picked up the 3900x and a 144hz 3440 x 1440P MSI monitor that I currently use for gaming. I am curious as to why your voltage is so high for 4.25Ghz? I have the same clockspeed however I have it @ 1.25v... paired with my 2080ti, it crushes games!

Thank you, and thanks for the heads up. The high voltage in the CPU was not intentional. I'm not the most versed when it comes to overclocking yet.

How many of the Aorus drives did you put into RAID? Is it RAID 0? How does the third NVME fare compared to the first two?

You're currently getting above 7GB/s correct? Have the speeds changed since you posted this?

All three set up in a raid 0 array. However after a windows install the speeds have done something weird. 6bgs read 9gbs write. I havent had alot of time to tinker around but it's something I will keep messing around

Wow great build, looks amazing, what do you even do with all that storage speed, I thought my 2500MB/s was good lol

VERY nice. Just curious - some monitors have rubber feet and a small gap under the legs to route cables for the keyboard & mouse. Will this one allow that? I'm looking at the same one and trying to keep my desk as clean as possible.

No. The stand will not allow you to pass through any cables. My mouse and keyboard are wireless. So I just have a retractable cable set up in the back of the desk for recharges.

I'll have to update this soon. But I'm thinking of upgrading to a 3960x. I want to run NVL in 16x16 while also running a 4x1TB Raid 0 card
