You guyz should do another colab with them. If Linus could get some peeps to send you guyz some parts for an ultimate build that would be sick, especially with your guyz skills at modding.

It would be a blast to work with something like 7 gamers to take it to the next level!

Hell yeah!

You should talk to linus about modding the 7 gamers 1 CPU (which were actually 2 cpus) pc. It would be fun but again a great challenge for you!

they already dismantled the 7 gamers PC.

Correct plus it would be fun to do something totally new!

I would love to see you guys do something new. I love all of the mods you have done in the past, I was a huge fan of that Nano I-Beam build you did. You guys have non-stop creativity and it really shows :)

I have always thought that it would be cool to build a (water-cooled) PC in a school locker, kinda like the ultimate student build :) then u could use the 4K wireless HDMI from 8 gamer 1 CPU to stream it to a laptop anywhere in the school!

just an idea :D

They could still make it if the guys from BSMOD wanted to mod it. I am sure linus wouldn't have any problem with that.

I don't think they still have the hardware from that build. Im pretty sure they had to return a bunch of the parts back to the companies, since that build was mainly built for the event they took it to.

Damn... Actually the best idea so far this year. $40,000 PC??? Hell yeah...

the ssd was a Samsung 840 EVO not an 850 EVO

  • 2 points

No, that was the Mad Max build. This one had an 850.

  • 1 point

oh so it might be correct LOL

  • 1 point

It is. I'm about to do a build and I might use an 850 pro, because they're the fastest sata ssd.

  • 1 point

If you're doing a new build a really want fast IO you might look at stepping up to NVMe drive as they are much faster then SATA

  • 1 point

Yes, I was actually thinking nvme for a boot drive, but satas give you a lot more gb/$

The guy who wanted to sell Luke the SSD, he advertised the 850, but he actually had the 840.

Good catch I'll change that. -Rod

did you guys end up using some of the ram as cache for the ssd? I knew you guys had the idea but I dont remember seeing it be put into action during the episode

Based on the benchmarks I don't think so -Rod

Top mounted PSU's are hard to work with IMO, but you seemed to do a great job with the management

  • 1 point

Bob is a pro when you give him enough time to do cable management

What happened to the Racing stripes and all? I didn't see the finale but i'm watching it tonight...

That didn't happen for some reason. I too would have loved to see that idea come to life!

Did you really pay $485 for 2500K? Or is that a sum of the processor and all the $0 parts?

That was the price Bob and Linus paid for the Antec case/mobo/cpu/evo drive/8gb ram
