Description

First time ever building a computer. It is much simpler than back in the day. Picture is blurry but the R5 case really makes having a clean build a breeze. Currently everything is running on default settings but once I get a better CPU cooler and some more fans I will try overclocking it. Also will probably upgrade the hard drive but doesn't bother me now, didn't want to spend on something non-essential.

Since the original build have made a few modifications.

Got an SSD and there is dramatic boot up difference, no waiting necessary. Got a new mouse Steele RAW, it feels nice and performs well too. Finally, got a CPU cooler and went with the CM 212 evo for that, its huge compared to the factory one, but as long as it does a better job it doesn't bother me. Might change fan on it later.

On a different note started having problem with my 970 gtx, sent it for RMA. What happens is that it started getting black screen when a minute or a bit more into gaming (different games and even Heaven benchmark). The rest of the PC is still running while black screened. Tried re installing drivers, the card itself, swapping hhd and ram to no avail. All signs point to the GPU problem. Hopefully they fix whatever the problem is and I will post another update.

Any bottle necking with that card? (CPU bottleneck.)

Not at all, plenty of room behind it next to drive bays. And overall good positioning with air flow all around.

he means bottlenecking like is the cpu bogging down the 970 performance wise

No clue, I didn't benchmark it or anything.

Then what's the point?

I think you underestimate xf-8350 my frined. :) It is really impressive CPU.

Unfortunately compared to the 4690k it is just a little dated at this point.

Yup you are right, but when it comes to gaming, I think 8350 is really doing a great job. Second, you cant compare processor wich came out in 2013 (if im right) and 8350 wich came out ages ago,( price diference too). In games, difference betwean these two CPUs is 5fps or even less (exept Armaa and WoT). If someone has the money, Intel ofcourse. But 8350 has really good performance per dollar. :) Cheers!

The CPU won't bottleneck this GPU. It's a popular, good combo.
