I decided to consolidate much of my inventory and sell off what I did not need in the process I decided to put together something nice that would be an upgrade from my FX 8370.
I picked up a Xeon E5 2670 and bumped up the BLCK on the turbo to 3.4Ghz. I was able to score a open box AIO water cooling unit on newegg for $49.
I found a great deal on a Intel Extreme series X79 motherboard on ebay for $183 it does not have all the fancy bells and whistles other enthusiast class X79 boards have but it is still an awesome deal.
The RAM was a Newegg deal I came across last year. I have never heard of PANRAM but they have XMP profiles and fancy heat spreaders in addition to being cheap. I am currently running it in Quad Channel mode.
I picked up 6 APEVIA red led 120mm fans. I did not have the budget for better fans like Noctua. However, they are quiet enough and look good with the red led.
I found a RX 480. After scouring nowinstock.net for many days I came across the XFX model with a factory overclock and a nice back plate. It runs much cooler and faster than my old R9 290
The Crucial MX100 was a Amazon Prime Day deal from 2015. It runs good for a SSD nothing too fancy
There is a 1TB Toshiba Laptop HDD I cannibalized from my laptop for use in this build
I picked up a open box EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750B on amazon for about 55. Runs smoothly and is quiet and efficient.
The case here is the Gem of the setup the IN-WIN 303 has the features of a enthusiast case with a budget price tag. The tempered glass side panel and unique airflow system really shows off the beautiful aesthetics of the case.
This build is awesome. I am able to run my Hyper-V environment without any resource contention and do some serious gaming on the side if I wanted to (mainly overwatch and Total War Warhammer).
