Description

I took a lot of time researching on PC parts which are good in gaming. I based most of it on ratings not just here but some other sites as well. Initially I was planning to order a pre-assembled gaming rig but after reading a lot of articles and reviews on the net I decided to give this a try (building my own gaming PC). It is more cheaper. Thank God this site exist! I didn't have a hard time time choosing the components that I should buy. I think I made a mistake applying the thermal paste. I did put it in the middle but its probably too much. CPU temp was 35-36.5 Degrees Celsius on Idle and so I decided to reapply it, this time I think I did it correctly the only difference is now I decided to tighten the screws on the CM Hyper 212. Open up the computer then checked the temp through BIOS and was surprised to see that it increases 37-38.5C. Core temp's reading is diffrent, Core 0-31C, Core1-29C, Core 2-22C, Core 3-28C. Btw Mobo's temp is 30C. I haven't tried installing games yet since I am still waiting for the sata cable that I ordered for my HDD. I'm happy with the results of my hardwork and successful first build but a little bit confused about how the CPU temp works.

I would have gotten an i5 4670k but nice build anyways!

Thanks :) It's because of the reviews on internet I decided to get this one. LOL

And the 4670k costs more, plus less overclocking headroom due to heat and your faster ram.

The 3570 is on the, now dead, LGA1155 socket, meaning no more tech for that slot. If the OP ever wants to upgrade it, they'll have to replace the mobo as well as the CPU. On top of that, replacement CPUs/mobos will probably be hard to find, should one of them die later down the road.

Decent build overall, though.

Awesome build bro! Wires seem a bit cluttered but alright. But that wall...what's all those wires for?!

I meant the white wall behind your computer filled up with wires, but anyways I can understand you're excited :)

Ohhh. Those were HDMI cables, TV wires, FIOS box cable, etc.. Put everything in one extension. :)

Good job, I do like AMD over Intel just because they offer way more bang for the buck, but good part choices overall.

Thanks man. Made the right decision building my own unit. :) I actually saved parts for an AMD build as well but decided to pick Intel build.
