I just want to say shout out to the pc community and everybody on Pcpartpicker. This website is CRAZY helpful like stuff I never knew about building pcs I learn through people just commenting and showing of theirs builds soooooooooooo.......

Shoutout to you bros !

Reasons Why I built a PC: Cause I was sick and tired of PSN being hack. I just didn't feel safe with my info on their....Plus ONLINE IS ALWAYS DOWN ! SO SOONY STOP MESSING UP OR THEIR WILL MORE PEOPLE LIKE ME ! #SonySucks ! Also I wanted to try PC gaming, alot of my friends switched like Zach (Who is in the pictures you already looked through)

So since I been playing on PC for about week...I dont think I will be going back So yeah I'm here and your reading this so scroll down and look at my parts yeo !

Also I'm Shad (In the purple shirt) my friends Zach and Elijah can over to help me build it.....Mostly they were their for bs and giggles but they did kinda help..............kinda lol

Also Elijah has a dope *** camera so why not use it on this !

Zach (Denim Jacket) Elijah (Guy with creepy face and no denim jacket)

After seeing me build mine Elijah is also going to build his soooooon so WATCH OUT !

CPU - i3-4370 3.8GHz Dual-Core - Why this one and not an I5 or I7.....One simple word MICROCENTER ! They had an amazing deal where you get 20% of your cpu if you buy a certain mobo it was either this or a I5 4690k and yea yea I know that its a better cpu but I wanted to save a lil bit of cash....I'm going to up grade within the next 2 months I just wanted to dive into PC gaming as fast as possible.

CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212 EVO - For the money you can't beat it lol seriously. Any good reviews you heard about this Cpu cooler.....believe it cause its TRUE.....AMAZING !

TC - it was $5....yeap that's about it lol it was $5

Mobo - MSI Z97-G45 - I'm going to be honest here I wanted the gaming line for a couple reasons and one was the Red and black look with dragon.....Oh yeaah it awesome !........plus looking online MSI make good products sooo why not get that I think looks cool lol ! Gotta Love The Dragon

Memory - Microcenter ran out of the G skill memory which was my 1st choice. And I didn't want to order it online and wait for it...I wanted my PC built as fast as possible ! So I got some Crucial Ballistix Sport whoop whoop !

SSD - Kingston V300 series 120gb - This thing is stupid fast ! When I start my computer it boots up everything in less then 7 seconds crazy !

Harddrive - 1TB of good safe storage great for the price !

Graphics Card - MSI R9 280 pick it up for a steal with a $20 mail in rebate with 3 games oh yeah ! I got Alien: Isolation, Sniper Elite 3 and Murder: Soul Suspect..... Great Card Gotta Love The Dragon !

Case - I like it, I thought it looked cool, and it was in my price range....... Plus the front looks like Manes mask !

Wifi Card - ......Ehh its ookay....it does it job

Keyboard and Mouse - Best Combo you can get for under or near $30 bucks, it work great !

Games 1080p I'm getting over 60 frames in all the games I'm playing like BF4, TFALL, Sniper Elite 3 etc.......But for some reason Assassins Creed unity, GTA 4 and watch dogs runs like DOG S.......poop ! Eehhh Idk whats the big deal but it's w.e

Also...isnt his face creepy !

Just as a word to the wise for future builds:

I noticed that you had a picture of your motherboard on the anti-static bag it came in. The idea of that bag is that while the board is inside of it, there is a conductive layer on the outside of the bag, which will help keep static electricity out of the non-conductive interior of the bag, and consequently, your motherboard.

Putting the board on the outside of the bag invites disaster, as the outside is conductive (I.E., it can, in the right/wrong circumstances, cause a short and fry your motherboard). I'm glad that nothing happened to it, but in the future, a good anti-static workspace for your motherboard is actually the box it came in.

Besides that, you have yourself a darn fine build here. I don't think I've ever seen an i3 that's clocked that fast. It should serve you well as you begin your trek into PC gaming.

As for ACU, Watch Dogs, and GTA 4, those have apparently had a lot of issues running properly even on tricked out gaming rigs, so don't feel too bad about them not running all that well.

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 2 points 49 months ago

Nice word advice bro, When we build Elijah pc we will be sure to remember that trust !!

Skinnyjeans21 1 Build 2 points 48 months ago

the motherboard box is perfect for the motherboard, as opposed to the bag however

multitasker451 1 Build 1 point 46 months ago

LinusTechTips suggests setting the mobo on the bag while working on it if you don't have an antistatic mat.

Ryan1196 -6 points 49 months ago

The outside of the anti static bag is made from the same material as the inside. So how could this harm your motherboard? I think people misunderstand when others say don't build on a anti static bag, you can build on it but it won't protect your motherboard if there is static discharge.

Sizlnutz 3 points 49 months ago

They bags are electrically conductive. They are effectively a faraday cage. Static electricity will only build up on the outside if the bag, not the inside.

Retroman -2 points 49 months ago

actually its not... Ryan is right, it acts as a faraday cage, google it, there is so much misinformation out there, even if it was fine why would you risk it? but FYI from my research it's not safe.

Interro-chan 1 Build 3 points 49 months ago

nice build, if anything, arrange those cables. GTAIV, ACU and watch dogs are just horrible pc ports

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 2 points 49 months ago

Okay good cause I was wondering wth was going on!

bradenfontaine 13 Builds 3 points 49 months ago

Awesome pics man, and it's nice to have friends around when building. Solid gaming rig with a decent price, welcome brother! one of us, one of us, one of us...

ajpinton 11 Builds 3 points 49 months ago

Welcome to the master race my friend.

Good looking parts list, the only thing I would do is bump up off the i3 when you can work the cost in. The locked i5 would be a huge boost, but with that CPU cooler you may consider going to an unlocked CPU.

As others have suggested I would work on the cable management a bit, but the rats nest looks to be away from any where that could cause air flow issues to the CPU.

All and all great build. +1

SwizzyMan 3 Builds 3 points 49 months ago

Love to see pictures of people actually building their pc's nice

Trexxit 1 Build 2 points 49 months ago

Other than cable management great build. Welcome to the master race :)

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

Thanks bro i feel at home _^ and don't worry that beast of cables will be tamed

Trexxit 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

Ahh okay then, if that's so you did a perfect build :) Congrats on escaping the trap. Let the GabeN flow through you.

Try this if you are still having problem with your internet. If you have a wired connection near buy but cant reach an ether net cable to your PC TRY THIS... http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PA4010KIT-Powerline-Adapter-Starter/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420438779&sr=8-1&keywords=powerline+adapters

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 48 months ago

Wait so does this enhance my connection ? Sorry bro I dont even look on the website that much since I build my PC loll

Brandino312 2 Builds 2 points 48 months ago

Not necessarily. But could make your internet more consistent which could end up making your internet more reliable and maybe even a few m.s. faster

Willwhitacre 2 points 48 months ago

USNS_Epcen 2 Builds 2 points 48 months ago

http://pcpartpicker.com/b/cGRG3C heres mine that i have not built yet but way cheaper even if you want to add a keyboard and a mouse.I get windows 7 ultimate for free and hate windows 8.

PCkarma112 1 point 49 months ago

I can understand why you got the I3, with the deal.. But, at the performance/cost, you could have out beat it with the performance, with an AMD Processor, at that price for sure! Js... More Cores, and way more speed! :-)(OC) of course. But, with that being said, it is a very good build! I know i would def. enjoy it!

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 3 points 49 months ago

yea your right but I feel like I did alright plus I'm upgrading to and I5 soon so i will be alright !

PCkarma112 1 point 49 months ago

Yea, I5 will def. see a difference, when you get it for sure! What model were you planning on getting? With more L2/L3 Cache, better Hyper Threading, should do well.

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

I was considering the I5-4690K....but what do you recommend ? I'm always open to what people have to say X)

PCkarma112 0 points 49 months ago

Well, Depending on if you have a mobo that can take AM3+, I would def. get a FX 9590. I myself am an AMD fan, although I know when and how I would choose Intel, for certain price caps and depending on what kind of tasks are being done.. In this case, whether its gaming or applications, I would do the 9590, simply because its $220, and the 4690k is $219-$222 (Depending on OEM). The 9590 has more L3 Cache 8mb vs 6mb, which isnt highly important, but is a nod on the performance side, and your getting 8 cores vs. 4 cores, your also getting way, way more speed, 4.4 vs 3.5. Thats not even considering Overclocking, which on air the 9590 easily does 5.16+ ghz on Air. Its a beast.. Although downside is way more power consumption ( Better have a decent Power supply).. But, if your mobo is lga1150, than yes 4690k, is the way to go.. Side note, the FX 9370, has the same performance for even cheaper $205 as the FX 9590, so you could consider that model also.. Good luck!

davidsc 2 points 49 months ago

Sorry but no. Its not the amount of cores that matter. Also just because it is clocked higher doesn't mean its faster. An i5 will absolutely beat the fx 9590 in gaming while consuming much much less power. Also it doesnt need a water cooler and doesnt need a 160 dollar motherboard in order to run it. http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph8427/67502.png even an i3 beats it in some games. http://pclab.pl/zdjecia/artykuly/radek/2014/centurion/charts/def/bf4_nv.png Its not the amount of cores that matter or the amount of ghz its cpu architecture which matters.

DCarnage 1 point 49 months ago

Great build, awesome pictures with good friends. +1

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

XD yeap yeap yeap

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

Also for any 1st time builder this took me 4 and a half hours but that's also because I had friends over making jokes and what not....So I'm pretty sure if your by yourself you can cut it down too 2 1/2 or 3hrs....idk everybody is different

ffowler 4 Builds 1 point 49 months ago

LOVE IT, the thought behind it and everything, but yeah I i just looked right past the i3 and went straight to the i5. I love "THE DRAGON" also and if you ever do another build the AsRock Fatal1ty mobo are badass with the gpu. MSI/Corsair = badass combo, now back to my mmorpg.

jjw2995 1 point 49 months ago

I like the build but I think you should have went with i5 or i7 from the start as you are spending literally $100 more after the upgrade to whichever cpu you are going to put in later on :(

Well it's done deal now so I guess i should bless you to enjoy the gaming bliss that comes with your new rig :P

CrustyNugget 1 point 42 months ago

Dude I swear to god I thought you were talking to Marty Mcfly in that one picture, haha but awesome build!

Paulo7702 1 point 42 months ago

You should have gone with a 6300 for your CPU and a 50 dollar m atx motherboard and put that extra money into the GPU. The six cores in the 6300 would perform better than the i3.

PatrickKimball 2 Builds 1 point 37 months ago

If you can manage to get some liquid cooling in this mini beast, I highly suggest it. Even just with a 120 mm radiator your temps would significantly decrease, just my opinion tho

xKerberos 1 point 33 months ago

You should replace that power supply as soon as you get a chance to, they are notorious for failing and taking your system down with it, very dangerous to keep around.

Expressonrs 1 point 26 months ago

What games do you plan on playing? :)

otto42069 1 point 24 months ago

Will this work if I use like some 20 dollar case? And do you think its good idea to change the windows 8.1 to windows 10 home?

GingaMilla 0 points 49 months ago

Is the graphics card compatible with the PSU?

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 48 months ago

I dont get what you mean by that honestly bro.....Can you use any video card with your PSu ?

thewindmill0903 1 point 47 months ago

I think he is referring to 6-pin or 8-pin cables for the gpu.

Falcons27 1 Build -1 points 49 months ago

Your CPU might be a bottleneck some modern games require a quad core.

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 48 months ago

Yeaaah I know but I havent had much trouble so far

Jake11501 -3 points 49 months ago

this build i sick i love how it looks, im trying to make mine cheaper would you recommend just getting a cheaper GPU? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jake11501/saved/BzJTwP

LamboGames 3 points 49 months ago

Please dont post your build here. This is made for someone to showcase their own build not ask for help. Use the forums to ask for help please.

JarodK 1 point 49 months ago

Get cheaper RAM, get a cheaper case. EVGA has a 750 watt 80+ Gold power supply for the same price, there are AMD Radeon R9 290s that cost less than that particular 280x. I would honestly suggest dropping the 212 evo and putting the 30 bucks on your processor to make it an 8320. Look at this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/spNwHx You could throw in a CPU cooler if you want. NCIXUS has a Powercolor R9 290 for 218 dollars after rebate.

PCkarma112 1 point 49 months ago

I think, he wanted the 280x, because it was MSI, and would match his MSI Mobo.. But, with that I feel the same way on the graphics for sure! But, we all have our preferred manufacturers..

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

If your trying to keep it cheap I would get a 280 instead and use the extra money on a SSD only because it makes everything super fast !

AyoShad submitter 1 Build 2 points 49 months ago

I will when I upgrade to an I5 or i7 I will tame that wild beast of cables lol....trust I will look for now on before I buy a game

Killeneminem 3 Builds 1 point 49 months ago

His i3 has hyperthreading so it has 4 threads, "cores". FC4 will hopefully access the third thread just fine and work correctly. I don't know if it will need a third physical core though...

ajpinton 11 Builds 1 point 49 months ago

The i3 is still considered a dual core, the hyper threading does little more then help the PC better scheduling the tasks going to the core (in this case two cores). Hyper threading does not add extra cores, task manager is showing the threads not the processers or cores. So yes this is a 4 threaded CPU but it is still a dual core.

This may help you understand hyper threading better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnS50lJicXc&hd=1
