Description

Most of the parts with this build are from my first build, Which consisted of a AMD FX-8350 and most of the other parts listed, I decided to go back to Intel after noticing significant differences in performance and overall computing power, Including more RAM support for RAM-disk's, Earlier today (June 27th) all four of the Seagate drives were marked as "bad" by S.M.A.R.T and I've since removed them from the system, I've also removed the NZXT fan controller since the alarm keeps going off every 5-45 minutes, Other than those few issues I couldn't be happier with the new black edition board and 4930k. Update: Corsair h100i replaced by Swiftech h320.

Add a more descriptive description, pictures that shed a little more light on the subject, and work on your cables. Then I can upvote.

I think he will survive without that +1

Jwood013 1 Build 6 points 40 months ago

He's right. This is a powerful rig that needs a description, some decent pictures, and some respect by giving it proper cable management.

xx116xx 3 Builds 1 point 40 months ago

I'm just asking for those things. I can barely see the build in those pictures, and the description for such a beast PC is pretty weak.

Tahab_1 2 Builds 4 points 40 months ago

That's one looooong part list.

ProEngPC 8 Builds 3 points 40 months ago

The cables aren't bad; I'm not sure why the complaints. I'd love to see some better pictures though. It's hard to get good pictures in the dark without a tripod.

Silentx submitter 1 Build 3 points 40 months ago

Fixed up cables and took non-3 A.M pictures/Updated description.

xx116xx 3 Builds 1 point 40 months ago

MUCH better. Looks beautiful and the parts list is amazingly insane. Nice job.

Thank you.

Those cables... no. Just no.

PolishXlion 2 Builds 1 point 40 months ago

I love that EVGA SLI bridge so MUCH!

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

It seems to stay put much better than the ribbon cables as well, I noticed after a couple of weeks to months that the ribbon would somewhat become loose from vibration.

PolishXlion 2 Builds 1 point 40 months ago

Would it work with MSI cards? It probably shouldn't buy maybe...

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

It's a standard 3-way SLI bridge to my knowledge, So it should.

PolishXlion 2 Builds 1 point 40 months ago

I know that it is standard but I am wondering id it might work because of how the cards are made (Shape)

bananacue 2 Builds 1 point 40 months ago

thats a lot of fans out there. you can fly your rig now!

tigerhere 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

The 900d was NOT needed for your parts, a 750d would have looked better.

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

I completely agree, But the 750D would've been too small for what I have planned ahead.

andrewmacneil 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

everybody is worrying about cables....... where is the corsair ram??? he's got corsair (headset, mouse, keyboard, fans, psu, case, and cpu cooler but no RAM??????

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

Did you have any issues with the H100i not lighting up? Or not being able to update the firmware to control the LED's for the unit?

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

I've had heaps of problems with it being recognized in the link system, but not lighting up, I ended up not even plugging the USB into my board, I'll be replacing it with a swiftech h320 after seeing what temps a friend of mine is getting with it.

elwillisjr 1 point 40 months ago

So yours lights up no problem? Can you control the setting of the LED in Link because in mine I don't even have a option for it on the general tab in the software.

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

There's a "Devices" tab that shows every "Link" supported device connected to your computer and you can sort-of manually override the drivers via the update tab there, It might be a silly question to ask but you've got the SATA and the USB plugged in from the link right? I know if the SATA isn't plugged in it won't light up, Also you might want to try switching with motherboard USB header it's plugged into, For some reason it works for a little bit when you do.

elwillisjr 1 point 40 months ago

No dumb questions man its okay. I asked for help and Im open to it. I checked the SATA connectors and I have the USB plug connected to my motherboard in a USB header. Funny thing though if I dont plug it up to the monitor I get the light for a few seconds, in all it glory, then it just fades away so its getting power. Update: Now only 1 of my fans are running and the other one is now running pretty loud.

Silentx submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

Might want to get that RMA'd, Sorta sounding like the unit was defective/going bad, Corsair is really good about their RMA's and if you bought it from Newegg they're even better.
