Description

This is a updated re-post of my current build. Main reason I decided to re-post is because I finally decided to do some tube bending to make my build look a lot more cleaner. I also upgraded my monitor and added a couple other things.

The reason why I chose this color scheme is because I originally was going to go for the typical 'Red and Black' theme but I wanted to switch it up. I can safely say that no one else has a color scheme like this. I can however understand why some might find it a little overwhelming.

I added a photo of how my build looked before I started bending. The last pic is all the failed attempts at me bending! It really is kind of a nightmare but in reality, practice makes perfect.

My two favorite games.

I've been a fan of Rockstar for a very long time now and I've been playing GTA 5 since it first came out on the PS3, then PS4 and now PC. I have close to 2,000 hours combined and I don't regret a bit of it.

I've been a fan of Rocket League ever since I saw streamers playing the beta version of it and I fell in love instantly. I got Rocket League the very first day it came out and now I'm almost 1,300 hours in it on PC alone.

Please if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Shoutout to PCPP user TheBlackAdder for the build name idea.

PCPP Staff, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! .

Part Reviews

CPU

No complaints at all. Been a great cpu!

Motherboard

Great motherboard. The only gripe I have with it is the bios and lack or customization of the leds on the motherboard. The cursor movement in the bios is so annoyingly slow and it's frustrating. With the led customization, yeah, you can choose whatever color you want, but the lack of modes for the the leds is present. Other than those two gripes, this is a great motherboard.

Memory

What can I say? Just look at it! It's the best looking ram IMO.

Storage

No problems. I have this in raid0 and loving it.

Storage

Never seen things transfer so fast on any drive before. It's Great!

Video Card

IMO the best 1080 card out right now. Overclocks are stable. I wasn't affected with the thermal issues that most of the cards are having since I have it under water.

Power Supply

10 year manufacture warranty. Nuff Said.

Fan Controller

Great fan controller. I wish it was a little more customizable though.

Case Accessory

Works great. Lots of customization.

Other

Pump works great and looks very nice. Filling the res in a PITA though.

What came to my mind at first

Great job on the build. I have a feeling this may get featured.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 5 points 9 months ago

You got me with that link lol.

vagabond139 5 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

This build is going to be forever remembered by me as the toothpaste build.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

As long as it's remembered! I think my next build (That I'm currently working on) will outshine this build though :(.

kingfreeman1 9 points 9 months ago

I'm about to change barbers.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 3 points 9 months ago

Hilarious!

WaterTriber 3 points 9 months ago

wow that looks nice

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

thanks!

WaterTriber 2 points 9 months ago

hows that Samsung m.2? does it run hot?

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

It's wonderful! That was the last addition to my pc and i'm loving it. It doesn't run hot at all.

powerwiz 1 point 1 month ago

At this price range why not two 1080 Ti in SLI it should give you about 2300 left to be the same price point. it should help a lot with games

oneflygtiguy 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

My 950 pro does, at idle its at 48c. Some of that Is probably due to radiator type gpu coolers but most is not. They do run hot is my guess

jbombola 3 points 9 months ago

Love the colors, although it kinda reminds me of toothpaste to be honest.

ThugginMcMuffin 3 Builds 3 points 9 months ago

yeeeessssss feed my liquid cooling addiction. so many beautiful loops being posted today, I have truly been blessed. +1 easy.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

You're welcome and thanks!

AnyOtherWay 3 points 9 months ago

I can safely say that no one else has a color scheme like this.

I remember seeing a build with this color scheme, but I don't remember its name...

Nice build though, but like you said it is a bit overwhelming.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

Yeah I completely understand. Maybe if the case was white, it wouldn't be as overwhelming.

AnyOtherWay 1 point 9 months ago

Perhaps.

ballisticism 1 Build 2 points 9 months ago

I think I saw a build like that. It was called "The Patriot" i'm pretty sure.

RaspberryPiFan 8 Builds 3 points 9 months ago

Nice job! You did a great job bleeding the loop of air. If there are a lot of bubbles though, I'd look to make sure there isn't a tiny leak.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Thank you! The bubbles will go away in 2 weeks. This was the second time of me filling the loop and it took that long for the res to clear up. I took these pictures after I've ran the loop for 12 hours. As of today, it's starting to clear up a lot.

RaspberryPiFan 8 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

That's a while. My loop took less than five minutes of being filled to clear up.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

I honestly think it's because of the res and how it has to be filled. It doesn't have a big hole to fill the res, I had to use a wash bottle (squeeze bottle) to fill it. The top of the res has a little slither of a hole to get the tip of the nozzle of the wash bottle in.

RaspberryPiFan 8 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

That has something to do with it. I just took a bottle of coolant and poured it into the res, I also have soft tubing in my loop, and I only have one block.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Nice build BTW! The rest of my loop has no air bubbles in it either.

Xpert_Kid_One 2 points 9 months ago

How long does it take for your motherboard to post when you boot up daily

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

~10 seconds.

Xpert_Kid_One 1 point 9 months ago

Thank you. I wanted that motherboard but I hate long post time.

MasterShock 2 points 9 months ago

That us absolutely beutiful

lilmac 2 points 9 months ago

This is potentially the most beautiful PC I have ever seen! Usually the generic red colours seem a bit overbearing but the addition of blue is very refreshing. Only little thing I don't like is the front of the case - to each his own. This is the build of my dreams! +1 from me.

TisWandy 2 points 9 months ago

This is absolutely amazing. The PC looks beautiful and the entire setup, too. I don't to know how much time, money and effort was spent in this. +1

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks a lot!

SilverWolf149 2 points 9 months ago

When I first saw this, my jaw literally dropped. Such a unique build. I love it so much. Would be a crime if this wasn't featured. +1(that's an understatement really. I know I've said this before, but I wish I could upvote this more than once.).

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks for the kind words man!

FACUNDO 12 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

Thank you PCPP for the feature!

Gooberdad 7 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Lol damn. Sorry. Was first congratulating you then messing with you. It looks awesome and patriotic.

jnanof 32 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

perfection

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

I really wish I could agree with you but I can't. I don't think it's perfect, and that's what gives it character. It's hard to find/make the perfect build.

kingori 2 points 9 months ago

Shave them all, let all them games return to studios with a bald head

Mariomash 1 Build 2 points 9 months ago

Dude the name is absolutely amazing and the colour scheme is cool

Barbers: What do you want fam?

You: Have you seen Features?

Barbers: Say no mo

Bam!

Yahtadi 1 point 9 months ago

And again.. Same question since last time

How your GPU so cool? One single watercooling system to cool both CPU and GPU right?

What is so cool? Me never understand that

Wi1dCard2210 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

those I think are idle temps, or at least not gaming temps. I get similar results with my i56600k with a 120mm rad and my 1070 on air.

Yahtadi 1 point 9 months ago

"my i56600k with a 120mm rad and my 1070 on air.". Of course you got that result, you water cooling system only got to cool CPU

That OP build with single cooling system had to cool off both CPU and GPU and both of them are nowhere reach 45.. Its too cool dont you think?

Its very amazing to be true tho

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Well, the room that I have the pc is not hot, nor is it hot outside. I have the fans at 70 % and the pump at 100%. The first screen shot is idle and the second is at load (after running a benchmark test).

Wi1dCard2210 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

He has a 360 mm radiator, which is technically (I know this isn't exactly how a radiator works) 120 for the cpu and 240 for the GPU, so to be honest I actually think they're a little hotter than they should be, maybe by 5/8 degrees. Maybe his ambient is high.

SpangleBorb 2 points 9 months ago

Beautiful build and the colour scheme is gorgeous.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks!

xtrahotuae 2 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

Great work. Beautiful colors. You just motivated me to work on cables of my build...

MCDS 2 points 9 months ago

Great Update. Love the new name for the build.

KohnJeffFennedy 2 points 9 months ago

A meme that came to mind: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CTFqhMXWIAA1IUY.jpg:large

In all seriousness, great build. I'm sure it took quite a while, but it looks like the effort really paid off!

ninjachicken 2 points 9 months ago

Hot damn, love the color scheme.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

KYBL 2 points 9 months ago

Great update! Looks much better without all of those fittings.

puntaro 2 points 2 months ago

Great build man. I am gonna use this as a reference for mine, if you don't mind... Well, even if you do :D

Jariyah 3 Builds 2 points 2 months ago

I remember seeing this computer on PC wars. Very nice love the color scheme and very clean overall great job!

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

Thanks a lot!

N4ncy 2 points 2 months ago

Lol is this where jayz2cents got his old spice colour scheme/design from? Its strikingly similar in terms of theme.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 2 months ago

Well you know I did build it before he did that build.. :)

00cosgovep 1 point 9 months ago

That is very pretty. ._.

garpace 2 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Do you like the photon? How's the noise? I love mine, but the way its assembled, the pump at the bottom causes vibrations which travel up the tube, and the tube rattles in the top bracket, creates an annoying hum. Filling the res is a lot easier if you tilt the case just like 10 degrees - it prevents that bubble of water at the top.

Nice job on the build!

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks! I wish I would've thought of filling the res like that before I did it twice!

My only guess is that your pump might not be screwed down all the way? I love the photon. I hear the fans more than I hear the pump and I have it running at 100%. Did you use the backplate that came with the res in your build?

garpace 2 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Yes, I used the backplate that came with the rest, and the foam pads they suggest you put between the backplate and whatever you mount to in the case. At my last "maintenance" for my rig, I actually took the entire thing off, and used an old rubber mouse paid as refreshed padding between the backplate and the back of the case.

I've been talking with XSPC - who has been providing great customer service - and sent them a video: they confirmed the noise I am getting recently is not vibration, its the impeller being unbalanced and hitting stuff (possibly something stuck in the pump). Since its under warranty, they are sending me a new impeller. PITA to drain loop to replace, but happy to solve this noise issue:)

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks for looking! I appreciate the compliment!

Percydagreat 1 point 9 months ago

Can you post some pictures of it with your room lights off?

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Yep when I get home I sure will!

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Added!

Tooth 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

I can safely say that no one else has a color scheme like this..

You are correct. I like what you did, BUT..........

Looking inside your case up close, it is just way too busy for me. Too much going on and not a simple central theme for me, sorry.

I do like your work tho :)

edit: where or how did you get those temps/usage read out from, thats cool

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

I understand, some/most people may not like it, and I get it.

Here is the link to the software I used. It's free and I use it to control my led lighting.

thank you for the link and enjoy your new system!

ibnalfreak 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Xx1HIVExX 1 point 9 months ago

I can get my hair washed by a PC.

OwSo101 1 point 9 months ago

Hmm I swear I had pants on

MightyMango 1 point 9 months ago

This build is nasty! Excellent job.

jeffgavin33 1 point 9 months ago

Did you use a special paint to color the backplates of the case?

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

I just used Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X.

Victor_the-_- 1 point 9 months ago

Put a giant tooth brush on top!

TheCy-FiJuggernaut 1 point 8 months ago

The watercooling is so cool, that colour scheme is bare dank!

ironted5 1 point 8 months ago

Just wondering for a build I'm planning... why do you have the M.2 AND the SSD's in raid0? what do you use the raid storage for when you have a HDD?

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Hey,

I had\was using the two ssd's before I bought the m.2 drive. I just wanted the m.2 drive because I performs better since it's using a pci express lane. I use the raid0 storage to put my most frequently played games and I put the rest of my games and recordings on the hdd.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

adaverso 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

So now its bent tubing correct? Can you put those pictures to the front! And im hoping you switched TO bent tubes because wow does it look a lot better! Those tight bends using all the fittings - YUCK

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Lol. The picture with the fittings was my first attempt at water cooling then I decided to bend the tubes. It is a night and day difference!

adaverso 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Yeah man! Way better looking and more fun!

Blue-Rain 1 point 7 months ago

Awesome and unique build, I left feeling very satisfied !

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 7 months ago

Thanks a lot!

GQJ17 1 point 5 months ago

Very nice build.

How did you paint the expansion filters?

PC_Mate 6 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Not a fan of water cooling but this pc looks sick!

ironted5 1 point 19 days ago

How did you get the fizzy reservoir?

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 19 days ago

It's just air bubbles in the reservoir. Air bubbles aren't good for a loop so I had to run the pump until all the air bubbles are out.

Blacksm1le 1 Build 0 points 9 months ago

Why you post twice the same pc (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/TysJ7P)

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

This is a updated re-post of my current build. Main reason I decided to re-post is because I finally decided to do some tube bending to make my build look a lot more cleaner. I also upgraded my monitor and added a couple other things.

The very last thing I said as well is if this is against the Terms Of Service of PCPP I will remove this post immediately.

Also, all but one of the pics are newly taken.

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

If you feel like this is against PC Part Picker's Terms Of Service, please don't hesitate to report this post and let the staff members handle it.

Thanks for looking.

BigAll 5 Builds 3 points 9 months ago

if you do it a bunch they may delete it for spam, but you're good

crookz_n_castlez submitter 4 Builds 2 points 9 months ago

Yeah I think PCPP staff said it's okay by featuring it :). I won't be posting anymore updates about this build though, I'm already working on another build.
