Description

My first build for just gaming and normal web browsing/document work. Been running for a few weeks with no issues at all, everything worked first try thankfully!

The H100i keeps the 9700K way cooler than I thought it would while gaming. Afterburner/RTSS haven't reported anything above 50C while gaming at 1440p144hz.

Chose the MSI motherboard mainly for the on-board wi-fi, 2 m.2 slots, usb-C, and a little bit for looks. Don't have much experience with different BIOS's but this one was easy enough to navigate. Haven't done any overclocking on the CPU yet, but enabling XMP to get the ram to run at its 3000mhz was as simple as one click.

System is very quiet at idle as expected, and with my fan curves gets a little noisy when the GPU is under 70-100% load. It seems like the ML120 fans that came with the H100i are the loudest part of the system though, so I'm thinking about replacing them in the future. Airflow seems great in this case, as expected. 3 LL120 exhaust fans (2 top, 1 rear), 2 ML120 intake (on front 240 rad), and one future Noctua intake fan I plan on putting on the bottom right under the the 240 rad since I am not using the drive cage that was originally there.

Nice build. I put a Noctua NF-A12x25 in the bottom intake where you're thinking of putting one and it's helped keep my GPU temps (and fans) under control

Thanks! Yeah my gpu temps are good but fans can get a bit noisy. Good to know it helps!
