Description

I did this build 2 months ago. It is absolutely amazing looking, i only had my iPhone to take the photos unfortunately.

The idea behind it was that i didn't want to spend money for looks only, so every part had to perform well for it's price. I think i did a pretty good job at that, aside from the keyboard which is a disaster!!

If i would do it again i would change: 1- the GPU, don't get me wrong it is a beast, but with the new 1080 out which is around the price i would choose it. 2-The keyboard, this one is a waste of money. 3-would go with 140 fans all the way.

The total cost for the Case without peripherals is around 2700$.

did you have to move the fans on top of the mounting bracket instead because of the clearance issues?

yes and they do not fit under.

As you can see they are not viable if you're looking for showing off. consider an other smaller CPU cooler.

Looks fantastic, is that a fan controller strapped in the back there? If so, what kind?

Yes it is; called grid+ by NZTX https://www.nzxt.com/products/grid-plus-v2

Do those fans being there still create good airflow?

If you mean the upper fans, then not really as good as the front. but overall better than nothing.

The reason I was asking is because I am planning a build and with the RAM I want the fans for it will have to be mounted there as exhaust. Do you think that would be a problem?

Not quite. They will fit after some work, but the air flow is kind of limited. If you look at the roof of the case you'll see the vents painted red, they are very small and will not give a 100% of what the fans can do.

Anyway, I have never faced a ram high temps before, the GPU sometimes on full load will reach 70's but that's it. good look with your build.

How did you manage to put those top fans on there? Did you remove the top of the case?

Yes, and there is like 20 screws. Actually, the air flow is not great and not bad either. I do not recommend it.
