Hi guys, This is the first time building a PC. I have always loved the idea of building your own PC and selecting each part individually. I have decided to build a PC before the release of GTX 1080 and i really loved the journey of learning about different parts and their compatibility with the build that i had in my mind, and finally after the release of the graphics cards i have decided to pull the trigger and start my first build. This build is made to be 4K gaming ready(with +60fps), and used for video and photo editing as well as day to day tasks.
I have plans to overclock the CPU soon . . . its just that i haven't overclocked a cpu before and i don't want to rush it.
after looking around the forums i have selected skylake 6700k CPU for its performance and for it being unlocked for overclocking
Since overclocking is in my plan, i wanted to get a water cooling solution. The x61 performed great and it was easy to install, the temperatures while idle is around 28-30 Celsius and it does not exceed 55~ under load
While looking for motherboards with great overclocking features, quality and looks, i came across this one which i loved immediately, the rgb led looks great complementing the lights in the cpu cooler and the GTX 1080's. Also the fact that there is an RGB led header in the mobo is awesome, also the shield in this mobo looks great and it protects the components from damage while handling.
To be completely honest, i went for peoples reviews and looks while choosing the ram, which ended up in buying these gorgeous ripjaws v
I wanted it all, performance and enough storage, therefore i went for M.2 Samsung 950 Pro 512GB as boot drive because it is super fast omg, and added WD BLACK 2TB as storage for large files, movies and games.
What can i say here, all i wanted is jaw-dropping performance so i waited for the release of these new cards and went for 2x GTX 1080 Sli. Since money is not really a factor here i went for 2 instead of 1.
Initially i was planning to get NZXT Noctis 450. but sadly it was out of stock at the time, so i went for the H440 since it had the same internal structure. It looks great with a solid build, and has a lot of room for cable management which i think that it is a very good feature for first time builders (like my self).
Fully modular, with zero rpm fan mode, and braided cables(Some not all of them) what else can i ask for? went for 750W because my build is rated for 580W i wanted little bit of headroom.
With all this gpu power i went for this beautiful 3440x1440 monitor. It looks amazing, and the ultrawide is very helpful for productivity as well as gaming. but i'll have to say that sadly some games doesn't support 21:9 aspect ratio, which leaves me with black bars on either side. Its not distracting at all so i wouldn't call it a disadvantage.
Mechanical keyboard with RGB LED's is what i want, so i went for corsair k70. And i have selected cherry mx blue switches because i want the tactile feeling and i don't mind loud keys. The rgb profiles i have downloaded from the forums is fantastic.
Corsair k70 lux RGB Keyboard✔ Done Acer Predator x34 Monitor✔ Done Overclocking the CPU✔ Done RGB LED strip inside the case✔ Done RGB LED strip for the desk✔ Done HB SLI bridge✔ Done

All in all, i feel very grateful for building and owning this PC, i hope that you guys liked this build. and sorry if i haven't explained something very clearly since English is not my first language.
