Description

Fractal design Nano S with x99 - 5820k, 16gb DDR 3200 & Pascal Titan X, 1TB M2 nVME and 4TB WD Black - Fully Watercooled

I wanted a small build that would keep up with 4k gaming but not be too big and above all be quiet :-)

And also offer Full watercooling - CPU- GPU & VRM's

Inspired by Zoetropes Nano S build

I had to mount the rear Vardar fan to the rear of the case to keep the inside neat, a bit ghetto but it works I also had to cut a notch out of the edge of the rear door to get it to close properly as the fan was now mounted to the rear of the case.

Its very quiet almost silent at idle and still very low noise at Full Load

Idle temps are CPU 32c / VRM 32c / GPU 24c

and after 4 hours gaming at full load (CPU Is stock and GPU is Overclocked 2100mhz / 11000mhz)

CPU 58c / VRM 46c / GPU 52c

I'm very pleased with how it performs considering it's so small & quiet.

Definitely add an actual title!

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 2 points 30 months ago

Yup realised what I did there , oops

It's chill man!

"Titanic Nano" sounds really great! ;)

Thank you appreciated

Ohhh that full cover block for the itx X99 is awsome. Love it. Neat looking build and a whole lot of power in a small package. +1

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Yeah nice block set shame they aren't readily available in the uk. Had to go to bits power direct for it.

Radox-0 5 Builds 1 point 30 months ago

Yeah had to do similar for when I was getting the full cover block for my impact board. Had to go to bitspower themselves. Shame we do not get a better selection here :(

Awesome looking build! I was thinking of that exact watercooling setup with the predator in my Nano S, sad to see the rear fan has to be mounted outside though. Either way nice job fitting that all in there

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Thanks could have got the fan inside if I wasn't using the full cover block so if your just using the EK kit should be fine

Jaybles816 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Oh ok awesome! I don't plan on a full cover block so that should work perfect. I'm really excited now haha Thanks for the reply

Aeit 1 point 30 months ago

Nice, but would like to know total price.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

I got that price wrong as parpicker didnt add the £1099 for the Titan Pascal!

more like £3k .... hope my missus doesn't read this page!

Use of the predator makes water cooling this case not feel so cramped. The picture of the tape measure is perfect, as this was a concern of mine when considering this case. Super clean, and great looking build.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Thanks going to get some short custom cables made for the GPU I think to finish it off.

Lyrix 1 point 30 months ago

Nice that you gave it a short spicy name.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Sorted, cheers

This is amazing. I have the same case, and am thinking about doing the same setup with the EK Predator, combining the pump, res, and rad, to reduce clutter / simplify the build.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Yup it's perfect for my needs, I much prefer it to the huge 900d it replaced. Thanks

PC_Master_Race_Noob 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Great build name :p easy to remember.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Haha, I'm new here , but sorted now

How's the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut?

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Seems fine Temps are still the same a few weeks in now.

Nice job.

Thumbs up.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Thanks

schwartzinator 1 point 30 months ago

I'm looking at combining a Predator 360 and 280 into my build. How hard was it to combine your two rads? I don't know much about watercooling beyond the plug-and-play nature of my NZXT Kraken.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Its very easy to do though i would only use one predator and just add an extra Radiator, just make sure to keep the pump / res topped up when re filling as not to damage the pump.

Naokuronao 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Awesome build! I really love water cooled small form factor builds and really clever implementation with the use of Predator! I have two questions, how was the filling process with the predator? I'm also curious if its okay with having the pump at the top instead of an bottom orientation.

Anarchoprimitiv 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

I'm very surprised that I'm the first to be asking this, but how did you get your hands on the Samsung SM961 which is essentially the OEM version of the 960 Pro which isn't released yet....and I should know, I have my 2TB 960 Pro on preorder as we speak

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Sorry my bad it's a PM951 in there, I had a 512gb 950 pro in there and sold it and bought the 1tb PM same money, noticed absolutely no difference in performance except the PM actually works better for large transfers and the PRO throttled down to HDD speeds due to heat really annoyed me so on ebay it went.

TrentWaldo 1 point 29 months ago

Does anything bottleneck? What would be better the 1080 with 6700k?

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

No Bottle necks at all the I7-5820K is one of best CPU's around along with pascal Titan-X = no bottle necks :-)

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

The i7-5820 k is way quicker than the 6700k and the TX pascal faster than the 1080 so as for bottlenecks there are none at all.

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

just ran a quick fire strike (un optimised with GFE running in the back ground) http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/16115576?

FurryJackman 3 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

I'm having trouble finding the EKWB Predator for sale anywhere. Have they been discontinued?

Spiralz submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Well I've got a load of primochill revolver fittings in a drawer some where, may be the next thing, I've been using acrylic for my past few builds and just fancied going back to basics , but yeah would look good though, watch this space
