I recently upgraded from my old system that I had for around 4 years: i7-4790 1x8GB ddr3 1600 GTX 1060 6GB

I used to run just about any game I wanted at high settings 60fps+. Although, I wanted more because why not? Surprisingly the CPU and RAM made a significant difference in performance. Some games I couldn't stand playing due to memory leaks and stuttering, but with just the core components, I'm able to demolish just about anything.

I kept the GPU because I didn't want to pay 2 times the price for a product that is soon to be marked down due to next-gen GPU's. I plan on upgrading it soon though. I can still run most of the games I play at 144 FPS ultra settings (Mostly MMORPGs).

Overall I am extremely happy with the way this rig turned out.

Part Reviews

Runs absolutely amazing. It's fast with just the right amount of cores. Only downside is that it runs a little heated when under full load.

Video Card

Runs extremely well. very quiet (unless I tell it to be loud). For <$300 you can't complain. It gets the job done.
