Description

This PC is used for gaming such as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. A pretty cheap build with good specs. I ended up going with a full white build for a nice clean look. I will end up buying some better fans but currently I'm using the ones that came with the case.

Clean look, just the RAMs are compatible with the motherboard? and why you didn't go for a 3600Mhz CL16 Kit, like this one G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory

I did have to update the bios on the motherboard but it was very simple. I do prefer the Corsair Ram look and it was also cheaper by 10 bucks.

Yeah! The processor was the only thing that wasn’t compatible with the motherboard which was why I had to update the bios!

if your SSD isn't m.2 consider getting a samsung 970 evo plus instead highly recommend even if your mobo only has pcie 3.0

I have a 256 GB Sabrent Rocket m.2 currently. I might get a bigger one in the future but for now it’s fine. Thanks

That's very cool temperature. Did you use 2 fans as intake or using negative pressure?

How did you update the bios? because i have that exact same motherboard rn. and im thinking of getting the 3700x for black friday

You download the BIOS updated into an empty thumb drive and then plug it into the computer while in BIOS and just update it.

Did you use this CPU or had to use a one of the ryzen 2000? also thinking about getting this MOBO also with this cooler, do you think I can put in 4 sticks of ram or would the cooler prevent it from happening?

  • 1 point

I used the Ryzen 7 3700x but I had to update the MOBO. For the cooler, you can move the fan on the other side and then you can put 4 sticks in.

What was your rationale in buying a Hyper 212 when the CPU comes with the Wraith Prism, which I heard has about the same cooling capacity as the Hyper 212. Was it just purely for aesthetics reason?

I had people recommend it and I don't really like the RGB on the basic cooler.

did your motherboard need a bios update before starting?
