Decided to take advantage of the Black Friday deals this year and built myself a new rig. This is my second build and beats my first one (2006) by a long-shot.
With a budget of $800, I wanted to conjure a slick, quick and tidy mid size rig. I set out to find a combination of parts that would give me smooth gaming on highest settings, as well as a quiet and clean looks.
Quite happy with: -The case! Fractal Design nailed it with this one, amazing airflow and great looks inside and out, fan controls -Graphics card, cheap for the performance + $75 nvidia games hookup -Power Supply, fully modular is definitely the way to go
Some things I wish I went for: -Better processor, although I haven't hit a limit with this 6-core AMD yet -Liquid cooled, that cpu cooler is hideous and not the kind of look I want, cooling is no issue though -Bigger and faster SSD, 128gb is quite restricting after installing the OS and a few games.. (everything else on the hdd)
Thanks for checking it out, let me know what you think.
