Description

Lets start off with this is my very first ever DIY build, took me a while to do some research and figured out the parts i need. First i was going to go with the i5 4690k witch is around $100 cheaper than my i7 but Im the type of person that believe in do it right or do it twice that's why I spent a little extra on the i7. Currently the pc is just being used for gaming, semi multitasking and daily web browsing. People might say the i7 is an overkill but I'm starting school in fall and Im sure I would have the use for the i7 and its ability since Im going to be taking engineering and programming classes.

Let me know what you think of the build

My future plan for the build Ether going with closed loop cpu liquid cooler or fully custom waterloop so i can use it to cool my gpu also. Getting another gtx 970 for sli and get a 1440p monitor. Add another 8gig of ram.

That's actually really good for only $1200. I would of guessed that this was at least $1500.

Nice system!

I just meant that I don't understand why a 1k+ build is budget when you can build one for less than $400

it depends what he's doing with his PC.

I called it a budget build because im comparing it to others high class build such as intel 6 or 8 core cpu's using 16/32 gigs of ddr4 ram. Mine only being quad core but still able to render and do extreme multitasking without going all out with the higher class components.

How loud is it?

I currently have 6 140mm with 1 120mm installed. When idle its not loud but somewhat noticeable and when gaming i turn my fans speed up for more air flow so its somewhat loud but im fine with it.
