Description

Built this little thing last month, took a few months of planning and researching and pretty happy with the end result since this was my first build. All items bought for $988 (Plus shipping and tax) from PCCaseGear. P.s Mind the spelling errors

CPU- One of the best CPUs if you're on a budget and had many good reviews. Easy to install I haven't had any problems so far.

Cooler- Something I was hesitant about at first but really surprised me with the performance especially for the price. Keeps my Cpu under 60°C when playing Bf3 and keeps quiet no matter what i'm doing but temps tend to rise when playing Cpu intensive games such as Heroes and Generals. Installation was quite a hassle. When trying to mount the cooler to the motherboard, I had to force it and felt like the motherboard was a about to snap.

Motherboard- Case needed a itx motherboard to fit and was the only itx motherboard that PCCaseGear had that could support DDR3-1866 ram. Only bad thing is that this motherboard does not have front header USB 3.0 but only at the back.

Case- For the price i got this for i couldn't complain but there was close to no cable management space. It came with 2 blue led fans that were quite loud and was distracting half the time, which is why i swapped it out for a quieter and non led fan that i had taken out of an old pc. It's not bad looking once you take a good look at it. One good thing is that the front header USB 3.0 cable has a separate 2.0 cable that extends from the 3.0 cable. Which means if the motherboard does support front header 3.0, you can still use it as a Usb 2.0 port instead of it being a dead USB port. Does that makes sense?

Memory- Fast, sexy looking ram. Yep. Sweg.

Storage- WD is better than Seagate. That's right, I said it.

Video Card- Runs like a champ no problem and was very easy to install. Temps aren't great but at least it does not go over 80°C. It is somewhat noisy though.

Power Supply- 500w was more than enough.

Wireless Network Adapter- Easy installation, just pluged it in and got a connection straight away. Range isn't too great but for the price I can't complain.

Keyboard Mouse Combo- It works

to be honest, you didn't really need 1866mhz ram, it doesn't really increase performance THAT much, coulda saved a buck or two, ah well.
