Description

In the spirit of the Holidays (2019), some friends and I got together to build a PC for a friend in need. We all met years ago in Space Engineers, and have been playing a plethora of games together ever since. After years of using a degrading system (we're not even sure how it was still running), and personal hardships, we banded together to do what friends do best; help a friend in need.

Some of these parts I had spare of (ie: GTX 1080Ti, PSU, etc..) and some were purchased brand new. The GTX 1080Ti was back-plate was custom painted (in a hurry) to match the rig.

All and all the system was built with love, and delivered successfully to a friend who was speechless and in disbelief.

We are sure this will bring him, years of fun that we'll all be able to experience together! Who knows, maybe one day we'll all meet!

And yes - this system is running beautifully!
Stellaris is his current game of choice! :)

You should have gone for R5 3600 so you get all the 3rd gen goodness also going for X570 in this price range would have been better but overall a nice build and i hope you enjoy it :)

Thanks for the input! We were going off part and cash donations (and we're a really small group). The added cost of upping to the X570 chipset really only gave us 4.0 which is something that wasn't super required by the end user. The 3600 was considered, but we got the similar CPU performance in the end and the user it was gifted to couldn't be happier.
