Lol I don't even kid myself , I'm always fixing what's not broke and doesn't need messing with, I'd like to say it was always an improvement but I take a lot of side steps lol

Well basicly I left have soms cosmetic stuff left on this now. I'd like to get sleeved psu/sata cables and modify the case to look better inside by removing the 5.25 bays and stuff. Problem is I have app so many drives its hard to make it super clean without going full ssd which is not necessary lol.

Firstly, that is a fantastic looking build and some premium cable management!

Curious though, why 64GB RAM instead of just 32? I'm torn on getting 2x16 or 4x8 for my upcoming build (I prefer the look of 4 sticks, but I'll hate myself if I want to have 64GB later on)

Well I had 16gb and i found that adobe premiere and or after effects eats more ram than chrome and Firefox combined. Shortly after starting to render anything I found my system using 15/16gb. So why not 64 lol.

Thanks for looking

Interesting. My Premiere/Encoder render times on my build are 1/3rd of what they were on my old HP and I only have 16gb ram in this. My meter is pretty maxed out when I do, but I'm still able to do other stuff - Chrome, iTunes, Bridge - while exporting.

But that's part of the reason my next build is gonna have 32gb. Future-proof for getting into bigger Premiere Pro projects ;)

RAM size heavily depends on your use case. Most people don't need more than 16GB. No need to spend more money on something you wont use, spend elsewhere.

You should at least turn that rear fan around and have it as an exhaust. All that air pulled in, nowhere to go.

It is pushing out of the back already

Actually it isnt, its pulling in air through the back.

The fan guards determine which way the air flow is going. You will feel air on both sides, but there will be far more air flow going the way of the fan guards. If you turn them around, they will be pushing air out instead of pulling more air in.

Congratulations on your build!

I've been planning to get the LG 29UM68 + GTX 1070 combo but I was afraid of compatibility problems since the video card doesn't have Freesync and the monitor does. Are you having any kind of problem like this? Are games running smooth?
