Description

This is my setup, been a WIP for over a few years now, PC started as horrible and ive slowly been upgrading parts little by little, now i have this. Feel free to ask any questions about anything on the setup, whether it be cable management, opinions on parts, etc etc.

Im upgrading pretty soon so I will update this as i do. My list of upgrades coming up are -Second monitor w/ dual monitor stand, most likely asus. -Logitech g703 lightspeed wireless mouse or G Pro Wireless, still deciding. -New Mic Boom Arm and New Mic, probably the Rode NT USB w/ the Rode PSA1 -Switching to the corsair k70 mk2 w/ mx browns (I want browns sooo bad) -Switching my case to the NZXT h510 elite (It looks sooo nice and an nzxt case would look more minimal) -Debating between a kraken X62 or a Corsair h115i (Kinda leaning towards kraken though, but not sure) -Upgrading to a 1070 FTW EVGA, Gonna paint some of the silver things on it white & Buy a White Backplate for it. -Probably grab a few 120mm AER Rgb fans to go in the new case, it comes with 2 140's.

If you have tips or ideas for my setup, Comment below! Or if you have opinions on any of the products i listed above that I am going to upgrade to, let me know, it helps alot.

Part Reviews

CPU

Cant beat ryzen for a build like this. Honestly love my zen CPU especially for the price. Great for lower end and gets the job done super well. 100% recommend for anyone building a lower end PC.

CPU Cooler

Considering the price now, honestly id say buy it. From the $40 pricetag it was when i bought it, Its just a mediocre CPU cooler with fancy RGB slapped on it. It looks nice though, and keeps my temps low. So what can i say?

Motherboard

Great board, I bought this used, so I got a STEAL price. The RGB looks really nice with the diffusers and it functions well. I haven't had any notable issues with it (yet).

Memory

Great RAM! Runs fast, RGB looks great, matches the white build. I love iCue despite what people say about it. Ive heard stories of the RGB's just stopping working though, so if that ever happens Ill update my review of it for sure, lol.

Storage

Its an SSD, runs good, what can i say,

Storage

Same thing, just more storage.

Storage

So far so good, just recently picked this up because i used up the entire 240gb I had before, Got it on sale on black friday for like 30 bucks, so i cant say im dissapointed. When i first installed it it was making a really loud buzzing noise all the time, but I took it out of the HDD tray and messed with a few cables and it stopped. Weird.

Video Card

Great great card, especially for what they are going for right now. It is custom painted white, (as seen in the pics) and does a good job for what I need it for, although probably going to upgrade to an EVGA 1070 FTW soon. :)

Case

Honestly, this is a great case. Although I am switching out soon, I cant say I have very many complaints about this case, other than my glass panel shattered and had to get it replaced (which could have been my fault but also seemed fishy). Great airflow, easy to build in, matches my white build too. Although, I wish there were some more white components inside the case, but thats just me.

Power Supply

I am borrowing this PSU from a friend right now, and I dont have many complaints about it, pretty much just your standard 650w gold modular PSU.

Monitor

LOVE this monitor. Honestly one of my favorite parts about my setup, once you mess around with the settings for it, the colors look wonderful. Having a 144hz monitor is something you truly underestimate until you get your hands on one. You might think people are exaggerating when they talk about how good it is, but they really arent. Pick this one up for SURE.

Keyboard

The price on this keyboard is way overpriced, but it is a quality product. RGB's look nice, the metal backplate makes it feel solid af, and I have Corsair's custom white PBT keycap set on it, and they also feel really nice. Cant say much else about it. The speed switches are okay, they take alot of getting used to when you first get them. I still like browns more which is why im going to switch out for a k70 mk2 with browns soon.

Mouse

This mouse hasnt done me wrong, price isnt bad either. I hate the way the mouse looks (I DONT like razer) It just makes my setup look cheap. Im going to switch to a logitech G pro or G703 soon though, still deciding. Honestly, if you're trying to get a good bang for your buck mouse this isnt bad. The only thing i really like about it is the way my hand fits over it.

Headphones

Honestly, this headset is pretty mediocre. The microphone on it sucks, BAD. The audio is pretty decent, but the battery life has dwindled since i got it. Its decently comfortable but nothing to write home about. Since I usually have to keep it plugged in at all times, I would honestly rather have something that is wired and has better audio. Since I have a blue yeti mic, my next buy will probably be dedicated headphones like some audio technicas or something.

Great build!! +1

Really love it! Also, imo get the Kraken. It looks minimal and would really fit the Corsair RGB. Unless you want a glowing RGB look, go for the H115i.

Thank you! I really appreciate that. I am leaning more towards the kraken, I love the mirror plate on it, and it just looks sooo good. I've just been hesitant because ive heard nothing but bad things about the CAM software.

Exactlyy, that why I like Kraken.

From a software perspective, CAM software isn't as good as Corsairs.

Yeah, and i love the new white option corsair has in the 110i cooler. If they had it in the 115i I would buy it, but they dont, so what do ya do.

Personally, I'd go with Kraken. If I really want RGB I'd switch the fans.

And yeah, I totally agree.

Well, i would be switching my case to the h110 elite so it comes with included 2 AER RGB 140's so theres that.

Beautiful build! How much did you get the 1050ti for? You couldn’t have gotten it for the $340 listed on pcpp, did you?

Thank you! :) Im actually borrowing this 1050ti from a friend of mine, I had a GTX 760 before it and he was like why not borrow this it matches your build better and looks cleaner and performs just a bit better than the old card, so i figured why not. I think he paid like $200 for it when he got it, but this was also like more than a year ago when cards costed more.

How much are you planning on spending on the 1070? If you have the chance, price check it with a 5700 or 5700 XT. Ive currently got a 5700xt and 2600, and theyre a fantastic pair together. If it comes down to getting the 1070 or saving the extra 100 for a 5700, I know what Id recommend.

Either way, Thats a really clean build youve got yourself there. Im a sucker for white builds.

From what ive seen on ebay, I could find one for like 200-230 range. Tbh I wouldnt buy a new card right now, used is the way to go. Just because I dont want a 20 series card and the prices dropped hella for used cards on ebay. A 1080ti for 400-500 LUL

Super clean and simple. I just swapped my Focus G case for the h510 Elite and love it. Bought an extra 120mm aer rgb to complete the look like you said, well worth

That case is sooo sexy, I wish the h110i white came in a 115i. Most likely i will end up getting a kraken x62 and grabbing a few AER rgbs though, its alot of $$$ tho lol.

Why would you spend 100$ on a keyboard/case only to exchange them? Clean build though

Honestly, I kinda agree. A new mouse would be a worth while upgrade because I would be getting wireless and the razer mouse is just an eyesore to me lmao. A keyboard really I dont need, but more of a want. I really love love love brown switches. And as for the case, Ive been heavily debating whether or not I should swap cases. The fractal case is a great case and I just CANT DECIDE.

Thanks bro! I have been debating over whether the pro is worth the extra pricetag. What differences do you notice between them?

I ended up getting it, I found one on eBay open box for $90 instead of the reg. $150. I played for about an hour and noticed it has the notorious double click issue :( Im trying to decide if its enough of an annoyance to return it or just real with it.
