Description

I am by new means a tech genius but i like to mess around with technology. This has been my work in progress for a little over a year and a half. I just upgraded my motherboard to this gigabyte and my cpu from a dual core AM3 to this am3+ and gfx from a radeon hd 6870 to this r9 270x hawk card. I use it for gaming and studying and I love it. I wish though that I could add an SSD even a cheap one to run my OS on but that's about all ill complain about.

You should work on your cable management, since it's an eyesore. Also, I would get an aftermarket CPU cooler. I have a 212 Evo paired with the FX-6350, and I've been able to overclock it easily. I have it at a 4.2 Ghz right now and my temps hardly go above 50 C.

I tried my best once and it still doesn't end up looking that great in the Antec 300.

Thank you! :) and ya I'll have to do more cable management with zip ties, you can't really see them now but there's some in there from when I installed the previous MOBO and they don't really work well with the new one I just haven't bought anymore zip ties.

Why the 6350 and 990 chipset mobo with no CPU cooler? Also, for 15$ more you can upgrade to the 7950, which is much better than the 270X.

I've got the same GPU, was wondering how hot yours got? Mine reaches 60C but up to 80C is supposed to be OK. I just though it was a bit hot...

Thats a nice cooler bomb master psu you got in there. Nice spending almost 250$ on peripherals where the money should have gone to actual ingame performance.

I fixed it, it ended up just being a problem installing the OS with the new mobo on my flash drive because it hadn't been formatted. Anyways, it runs GREAT. I mean amazing, I run Rome 2 pretty much full graphics without any issue. Only problem I'm having is I downloaded the 13.11 beta driver and its kind, I don't know, buggy? It makes my screen flicker once every like 5 hours so its not awful but it only started after 13.11. But I highly recommend this card.
