So this is my first completed build so I am pretty excited for this PC! I chose my parts based on price/performance so it is not a glamorous looking machine but it does perform very well for 1080P Gaming in fact it is pretty much overkill and that's why I bought the 144Hz+ monitor because i love higher frame rates! The Asus Z170-A MB makes over clocking easy and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO keeps the CPU Cool! The MSI GTX 1070 works great and pushes through whatever I throw at like a champ! Got 4755 score on Fire strike Ultra (http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9049257) and 16,546 score on Fire strike (http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9048823). I haven't played many games on it yet but I'll share some avg FPS that I get for a couple games I have played.

World of Warcraft (on Ultra PreSet) 130 FPS Ark Survival Evolved (high PreSet) 80-100 FPS Rust (Maxed settings) 90-100 FPS

I am getting ready to head out of Town for the Holiday weekend but I will add more pictures and more spec when I get back.

Part Reviews

Great CPU for the price and it over-clocks easy with the Asus Z170-A MB.

CPU Cooler

For a Air Cooler it works great! Keeps my CPU 70c or cooler under stress but had to give it only 4 stars because the fan can be a bit noisy. I plan on buying a couple after market fans to replace the single stock one.

So far it is doing a great job at over-clocking my 6700k! The XMP switch is nice and updating the BIOs from the UEFI was a breeze!

For the price you can't beat it! Running Windows 10 Pro on it is super snappy!

Video Card

This card looks plane but performs very well! I got it stable just above 2,100 Mhz. Crushes any game maxed out in 1080P gaming!

Very Nice Case for the price! Cable management was breeze and there is plenty of room and features for me to put a costume water loop in later! (Maybe a X-mas present to myself later)

Power Supply

So far no troubles, I like that it's Fully-Modular so only the cables I need are in the case!

G-Sync works perfect and this thing can OC to 180Hz! Colors are pretty nice and the 1MS response time makes gaming feel responsive!

Pretty Nice Features with the LED back lighting. Not the best keys but for not being mechanical it is pretty good!

Yeah I love the high frame rates! Makes Gaming smooth as butter! I played some CS-GO and was getting like 350 Frames a Second! stupid smooth and responsive! Made sniping head shots a breeze! Did not notice any screen tearing either.

The graphics card isn't appealing to me in terms of design. Aside from that nice choice of components!

Thanks man! yeah I know that GPU doesn't look nice, but it performs nicely!

Where did you get the 1070, I've been looking everywhere and I just can't find one!

You should try 1440p lol

vsrinath 1 point 32 months ago

Is 1440p a huge upgrade from 1080p?

PigWithAMustache 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

Games and such will look better, and plus the 1070 isn't really meant for 1080p gaming. If you have a 1070, I think it would be a good idea to game in 1440p for high end games and get around 60 fps, and maybe even 4k for games like CS:GO or Dota.

Looks like the 1070 is drooping a little? I've heard it's way heavy.
