No cable management? YOLO
No one says YOLO anymore.
Now people live twice right ?
Nope. Not even that is true.
No, I'm pretty sure that IS true. I saw that James Bond movie. Sean Connery AND ninjas!!!
I don't know what you're talking about now lol. I was making a reference to religion. :) I still have yet to see all of the James Bond movies.
LOL 1967 James Bond movie called "You Only Live Twice".
Jesus you got a lot of points for that xD
Award for the most downvoted build ever. and it's totally unjustified.
I agree. Sloppy, messy, but pretty good parts selection for the price.
Parts look good but that cable managment is gonna kill you on here.
How is it going to kill the computer? lol Yeah my airflow won't be optimal but enough with the hyperbolics. You guys are sounding like a bunch of lunatics.
First who said it was going to kill your computer? I said it was going to kill you ON HERE as in voting, the words kill your computer never came out of my mouth. So get it right before you call someone a lunatic.
Well clearly I didn't realized this site was for people who prioritized looks over functionality.
No they apperciate both. It's just hard for people when someone puts lot's of money and good parts into a computer but can't take the time to do something as simple as cable managment.
Out of what goes into a PC build, cable management is probably the least significant part of it. And thats what people are reducing it to when they decide to thumb it down strictly because of it. Thats where I'm coming from when I say people are prioritizing looks over functionality.
Cable management isn't only about looks in fact looks has very little to do with cable management, as others have tried to point out but you seem to be to defensive for no reason... Having cables everywhere will impact the airflow and cause the system to have higher temps so it is more functional to have good cable management.
In the HAF 922 it won't change anything. That's my point.
that cable management gave me aids
What's with that crooked hdd cage?
EDIT: Looks like this post wanted to post 4 times. Weird. Sorry about that.
The list is decent, but the way it looks - it is pretty half-assed in terms of assembly.
Well my computer works great. Cable management is almost a non-issue the airflow in the HAF 922 is great. But you guys are making it sound like it's a big deal. It's really not.
"you guys are making it sound like it's a big deal. it's really not."
"you guys are making it sound like it's a big deal. it's really not."
Let me ask how many computers have you built to compare airflow and temperatures to determine that it isn't that big of a deal? and did you test to see if it impacts temps at all to determine this and if your findings showed any changes what were they?
Personally my findings, my tests, and my more then 18 years of experience working with and building computers showed me that good cable management can GREATLY impact airflow and temperatures of a system.
If this is your
"First DIY PC" I completely do not understand why are you so greatly defensive and being offensive when people are trying to give you helpful suggestions to IMPROVE your build?
(ninja edit) sure his half assed remark isn't helpful but my reply to your comment about temps and airflow are very valid.
My temps are the same of other rigs with similar parts and better cable management.
Troispoint your just going to get down voted because a poor attitude and pooooor cable management take an hour out of your day get a guide or read up some advice with that case cable management should be breeze IT WILL improve your airflow BTW if you waste money on something so nice why not fix it to its best and show it off dont marry a dime piece and make her wear a one piece at the beach.
I'll believe that when I see it. AKA lets see some proof.
Cable management not only promotes good airflow, but makes your rig look professional and gives it a stylish look... instead of in this case whereas your case looks like it came from one of tarzans dreams.
You come across as a cocky first time builder that cannot admit he made mistakes with a good rig.
Dude, if you have something wrong it is wrong. Stop being stubborn about it and take our advice to fix what is wrong about your PC. It gives you better aesthetics, airflow and some more lifetime from your components that won't be breathing as hard.
Ah, too bad man, the parts are really good. People are downvoting because of the cable management. I would have thrown in an SSD.
Yeah it's a shame pcpp is so obsessed with looks.
Good parts selection, though I would change the case, but that's a personal preference. Please fixed the cables though.
Cable management, ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
I have the same case, and it's open right now too. I can't say I really did cable management but I ended up rewiring a little because I didn't like how they shoved everything under my HDD drive bay. Shoot it would take like 5 minutes if you just at least tucked the cables on the other side and squeezed the side panel on. Don't have to if you don't want to though. I won't rip you, lol.
Are you kidding me, the hard drive isn't properly seated! At least fix that, and the cables.
Sooo.. did you just buy all your parts and dump them in your tower and call it a day? Do those beauties some justice and clean it up mate.
I can see that the OP is downvoting everyone..
good build, the cables though :3 shouldn't do much as no fan is near them, enjoy your build. :)
Good build but fix up the cable management its horrible. Try running wires behind the motherboard tray?
Look at that big mess of cables you have in the front, interrupting the intake of the case, and what seems to be, the only intake. I'd say you're lowering airflow into the case by about 30-40 percent, which is not good for your components. You won't be saying 'YOLO' when your parts start overheating.
Seeing the description I wouldn't doubt it. Might go something like this:
-Parts start overheating-
"Whoah there, calm down. YOLOSWAG!"
-Parts still overheating-
Hey! I said YOLO! Why aren't you cooling down! Saying YOLO increases the swag multiplier to 9001 in the CPU, causing immediate cooling!"
-PC starts to smoke-
Congratulations on have the second lowest rated build on PCPP. I hope you're proud of yourself.
I thought people live twice..guess I was wrong
Hows that power supply holding up its the same one i wanted to get
I bought the 750w one instead of the 650w because I wanna make sure I'll be able to add another GTX 770 later down the road. And it's working great, it's very quiet (the fan doesn't even have to spin on idle) and it's guaranteed 7 freaking years.
Might want to fix up those wires a bit... Aesthetics is only part of it; well managed cables improve airflow and temperatures within a case. Also, are you going to be leaving the side panel off?
My temps are doing fine, so meh. And no, my side panel is always on. I only took it off for the photos.
Good part selection but you should clean up those cables
Your first DIY PC is much like my build. How much did you pay for your i5-3570K? Is it safe to overclock it to 4.4Ghz?
Thank you Troispoint. Where did you get your 3DMark 11 Benchmark and how much did it cost?
I bought it for 230$. And I did manage to overclock it with a Hyper 212 Evo up to 4.5Ghz with acceptable temps(wouldn't go over 75 celcius at 100% load). I don't know if it's safe long term, but if I were to do CPU intensive things, I would overclock it. Although I went back to the standard speeds since I only really use my PC for gaming.
How are you able to overclock your 3570k so high with the same CPU cooler? I am aware that not all CPUs are the same and can only overclock my 3570k to 4.2 GHz. What is your BCLK Frequency, CPU voltage, DDR voltage, VCCSA voltage, PLL voltage & CPU ratio?
If I were you building this, I'd cut the freakishly overkill PSU, and maybe the Case and use the money to get an SSD. What were you building this for?
Congrats on the most downvoted build on this website, except for the guy underneath this build in the list. Anyway, great parts, BAD cable management
Oh man good picks on build but horrible cable management lol
I like the choice of parts, but the cable management sucks... you should fix, and then post updated pics :) I would've gone with different ram though, just to keep the color scheme inside. Red is really common so it's not gonna cost you more :P
Good choice in parts bud bad presentation. +1
The parts are OK, but the cable management is abysmal
your power supply is overkill.
and u should really think about your cable management even if you "yolo" it
Troll pros are downvoting you. I like your choices
Down voted cuz he said YOLO? Good job everybody. LOL jk
That RAM doesn't fit with your color scheme, nonsense.
lol I fixed it immediatly after take the pics. It's because I had some problem putting it back in for some reason.
I d say re fix this with cable management looking mighty smexy delete this and then re upload with new pics my friend and a good attitude when ppl try to help overall though not bad parts.
this doesn't deserve to have this many downvotes, +1
