Description

This is my first build in 10 years. I used to game on PC but have mainly been gaming on consoles recently and working on Mac laptops. This build is both for gaming and work -- mainly mobile app development.

So, I basically went with the most recent Intel CPU and chipset, and a decent GTX 970 GPU. I hate fan noise so I opted for an AIO cooler.

Very nice build+1

Probably one of the nicest ATX cases available!!!

I hate fan noise so I opted for an AIO cooler.

You should have gone with an air cooler like the noctua NH-D15 or bequiet dark rock pro 3 if silence was a must. Those corsair fans are loud and you have to also deal with pump noises.

Yeah, the case is awesome.

Honestly, I haven't really heard a peep out of the pump at all. It's a virtually silent system.

The keyboard is probably the loudest part of the build

Great build, gotta love the EVGA G2 PSUs right? Decent cable management job, also AIO are so good compared to air coolers in terms of noise and that extra cooling performance! +1

Yeah, really nice PSU. Cable management could be better, I agree, but it's clean enough for me so I won't worry about it.

Great looking black build. Good cable management and I like how well all the parts look together. You should post more pics.

Really awesome build, I'm planning something really similar parts wise, do you have some afterthoughts that could be helpful for me?

I don't have much to say. It was a really straightforward build. No hiccups to speak of. Just be sure to plug in cables near the top of the MB before attaching the radiator and fans if you're going to put them up top. Otherwise, reaching in there will be tough. I happy with the parts I chose.
