Description

First I want to say this points because I know I´m gonna be criticized about water cool my GPU´s and this is the reason why I do this:

  • I want to get better temps and noise, and this is the current hardware I have, so that´s why I water cool my GPU´s.
  • For fun, is my first time water cooling and I think it was a great experience doing it with a great satisfaction at the end when you see your setup as you imagine it while ago.
  • Because I can afford it.

Also I want to point out about my GPU´s as always, I gaming at 1080p with a 60hz monitor, these 2 GPU´s is all I need to achieve 60fps at 1080p at max settings on any game so far, if I have spent all this money on my pc, is obviously I can change my GPU´s whenever I want, but I don´t see the point, I´m gonna wait until I buy my 4k tv, and that´s the moment I´m gonna get a high and GPU or maybe 2.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Well this time the changes I have made to my pc is, first I came up with a name, that I havent specify in previous publications, second I already added sleeve cables for static, I changed my keyboard from the Gigabyte OSMIUM to the Roccact Ryos MK Pro, mainly I saw that the cherry MX red switches from the osmium were to easly to activate, so I decided to go for the black switches, they feel similar but they doesn´t activate that easy and also I like the static from the MK Pro and the ilumnation sytem.

On my previous publication you can saw that Im not using the EK bridge to connect the GPU´s together and Im showing a card with it, the thing is that the EK HD tubes I bought (the 3 slot separation) where to long to fit my 2 cards at 3 slot separation when using the EK bridge, so I needed to but the 2 slot long HD tubes (to keep that in mind if you´re gonna to do the same).

I added the 840 evo SSD maunly because I saw it at rebate on amazon so I take the opportunity to increase my boot disk to 250GB, im using the Pro SSD to install games currently played (one of then TitanFall that is consuming the half of the drive hehe).

With that many fans, can it achieve flight?

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 10 points 42 months ago

I have tied it to the desk just in case, hehe, the good thing to have alot of fans and radiators is that you can have them running at low speed and get the same performance but less noise than having less radiators with fans at higher speeds :)

I would love to fly with my computer... Too bad it only has three fans

The water cooling system is amazingly complicated. 1+

If those 2 GPUs cost about 500$. You could have used a single GTX 780.

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 1 point 42 months ago

Yeah I know, 2 year ago when I was about to buy the graphic card I only can afford this card, last year I was planing to upgrade it to a 780 ti or 290x but I thought it would be a waste of money been use less than a year the 7870 and considering that im playing at 1080p also thought that any of this powerful cards would be a waste of money and power, so that´s why I choose to crossfire last year, I´m planing to buy a 4k tv maybe at the beggining of next year, so taking also that in consideration I prefer to wait for next gen GPUs that would be more optimize for 4k because I think that 780 ti and 290x barely touch the 4k gaming. I think the crossfire 7870 would work for next gen games at 1080p.

babachicken 2 points 42 months ago

all of that beauty.. but a case with no window?????

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 2 points 42 months ago

Well the thing is that I was not planning my build to look like that when I bought the case like more than 2 year ago, hehe

Hows that fan controller?

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 1 point 41 months ago

Well I have read good reviews and it seems that for other people it works great, but for me I have a bad experiance with it, I cant read the tempetures and control the fans trough the software, and bitfenix never follow my case, but with the device itself I can control everything ok, even so I dont recomnend it because of my bad experience

DodecPCs 2 Builds 1 point 39 months ago

This build is beautiful <3

NickyaKillah 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

What is that temperature monitor in the 5+1/2" bay?

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

That is the Bitfenix Recon: http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/recon/

I have a bad experience with it, it have an internal USB 2.0 connector so you can use software to monitor your temperatures etc, but mine doesn't work, bitfenix makes nothing to follow my case...

Xphereos 1 point 29 months ago

You obviously have money, so ho a b out you get a custom glass window the covers the whole side of your case so that it will look like picture 1. Please please please do it.

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

Actually I have moved all my build to a corsair 350d with window, I have to made some storage sacrifices but I think it worth it, Im about to upload the finished build on a few days.

Xphereos 1 point 28 months ago

Cool ☺

Wildmind 2 Builds 1 point 15 months ago

Well... Time to upgrade your display now hehe :P

HeyDan83 submitter 4 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

That´s right, I at least want a 144hz, Freesync, TN, I want to wait for new HDR monitors before investing too much in a 1440p monitor.
