Description

I decided to build a Ryzen system for the next ~2years. After a lot of investigation I tried to build something that fill my requirements without brake the bank. This was the result. Runnig Ryzen 5 2600 OC 4.1GHz. Idle 28-32C, load Max 64C

Wow. This has got to be one of the absolute cleanest builds I have ever seen for less than a G. Unbelievable fabulous work. 5 stars.

Well, the SSD and PSU were part of my old build and I don't remember how much I paid for them. I didn't count them in the price because are used parts.

Thanks

Great build

I knew the Dark Rock was a large cooler, but it's just really impressive to see it in a build. Wow.

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Yes, it really looks great. Thanks

She's a beaut! +1

Did you have any issues with the CPU cooler clearing the RAM?

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

No, the CPU cooler has enough room for all the memories. But I'm using low profile memories, I think that you could get some problems using tallest RAMs.

dragoniemx 2 points 6 months ago

Really love the balance of red and black in the build!

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Thanks, I tried to built it in black with red details. I added 2 led strip lights to create a cold illumination but I used the controller that came with the led because using the motherboard connections only you can get red lights.

Beautyful and clean build! Check out my Meshify C build in a few hours ;)

Great build! What speed are you able to run your ram at stable? I'm only able to run my ram at 2666 stable for my Ryzen build.

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

The MSI X470 Gaming Plus has Frequency Adjustment. You can set your RAM at the manufacturer speed (in my case 3000MHz) using this feature. These are the supported modes: 66/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667 Mhz by JEDEC, and 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200/ 3466 Mhz by A- XMP mode.

aferr1973 1 Build 2 points 6 months ago

That's great that you are able to run the ram at 3000mhz stable using the A-XMP mode! Since you have a 16GB kit of ram it is more than likely you have Samsung chips on the ram which works much better with Ryzen than the Hynix chips found on the 8GB kits that I have.

Could you add a photo with the TG on?

mkbc submitter 1 Build 2 points 6 months ago

Done

mkbc submitter 1 Build 2 points 6 months ago

It's done. I added a new picture with the TG.

Kables 1 point 6 months ago

Lovely much obliged!

ahmed2963 1 point 6 months ago

Hi how did you get the inside glow that looks really dope. And do you recommend putting a couple fans on the top??

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 5 months ago

I used a $15 from amazon (ATTAV RGB Magnetic LED Light Strip). Just installed on the top and the front side of the case. I will try to install a extra fan on the top. Thanks for the recommendation.

rendheaven 1 point 5 months ago

Man this is so clean. What RGB strips are you using? And is this the Dark TG case?

If you don't mind, can you take a picture of the RGB led strip placement? Thanks!

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 5 months ago

Yes it's the Dark TG case. I love the black tint, add a lot of "glossy" effect to the led strip. The led kit is the ATTAV RGB Magnetic LED Light Strip from amazon. I will upload images with the led strip placement.

peacewalker345 2 Builds 1 point 5 months ago

Wow, great build. If you try to tweak the LED strip color I think it would look even more stunning.

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 5 months ago

About the color I like the contrast between light blue (cold) with details on red (warm). The color in the picture are not 100% matching the reality, but it's very close.

ahmed2963 1 point 5 months ago

Hey bro are you sure you got the tinted version??

bagpipes 1 point 4 months ago

what voltage do you have on that 2600?

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

1.35V

chaozduke 1 point 4 months ago

ey mate like how you build this can you show how you build this in a video???

mkbc submitter 1 Build 2 points 4 months ago

That will be hard to do due the lack of free time. But it's not rocket science, I'm pretty sure that will figure it out by yourself. Thanks

Dnehiba3 1 point 4 months ago

You nailed it, what more is there to say. One of the nicest I’ve seen here (if not the nicest). The dark rock rocks!

Ldrew38 1 point 4 months ago

I’m about to buy the same cooler and case. The side panel does fit with the cooler installed, right? It might just be me, but it looks a little close.

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Yes, the side panel fits pretty good with this cooler.

Ldrew38 1 point 4 months ago

Alright, thanks!

jinx2416 1 point 3 months ago

This has piqued my interest. How is it for gaming and would you or anybody know if this could support video editing?

mkbc submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

I really don't know for video editing but for gaming it's matching 100% my expectations.

acwt 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Nice build! What exhaust fan are you using? Are you using the default FD case fans as intake?
