Description

I have built this computer about 1 month ago, and the only thing that I have changed is the cable management inside the case. This is a project I have been working for 6 months, and managed to finish it with my dad just after my birthday.Overall, pretty happy with the computer and I'm hoping to maybe overclock my cpu soon, for the sake of it. Below are my thoughts about the different components I chose. You can compare the pictures, before and after cable management.

AMD fx8350- for my personal use its great, don't yet use it to the full capacity plan to overclock to about 4.4 when i get more fans.

CM hyper 212 evo- so far so good, had to change the fan to blow out of my case

Asus m5a99x evo R 2.0- great motherboard for the money, still not using the whole capabilities of it, plenty of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. Great if having a singe GPU or dual crossfire/SLI.

Kingston 8gb- good memory don't need any faster, and will last me a long time

Kingston 120gb SSD- very fast boot in under 30 seconds! Brilliant for loading programs quickly and OS

Western Digital 1tb- very good HDD plenty of storage.

MSI radeon r9 280x- very pleased with the performance of this might card. I am able to play far cry 3 ultra setting 1080p at 60fps and 30-40 fps when recording. skyrim with 25 mods 60fps ultra 1080p. heaven benchmark photos will be uploaded! Will not be overclocking as there isn't a vast improvement in fps.

Corsair 200r- great case for the money, cools well with plenty of upgrading options as well as cable management. Sturdy metal design with USB 3.0 in I/O panel.

OCZ 600W modualar power supply- this power supply was a steal, it was discounted from £90 to £58 at amazon. It has sufficient amount of power, plenty of spare cables for me, and pretty quiet.

samsung optical drive- just an ordinary optical drive

Montior- good monitor for the money play 1080p, that's all that i need.

aw. even though you said the case had great cable management, the management looks......not managed.

Well +1 because of the cost ^

Are there any holes in the side of the case to hide the cables?

(just noticed we are MSI R9 280x gpu buddies) :D

I wasn't really looking into overclocking my hardware just yet honestly~ don't like risking it, however I heard about being able to overclock the base to about 1200 mhz is plausible~ and the memory to about 7200~ just something you might be interested in.

ive gotten it into 1100 with 78 degrees under load, not risking it to get to over that.

Cable management looking pretty nice now ^, is your evo blocking one of the ram slots? and is it any good? I may be getting an aftermarket heatsink soon because my idle temps is about 40c

i put the ram in first, however it depends how tall the ram is, i can see it getting stuck. the cooler is very good managed to oc fx 8350 to 4.44 with 43 degrees under load. i gues the only reason to purchase an aftermarket cpu cooler is if you are going to oc, but its your choice :)

Can you post a pic of the Farcry 3 settings and you getting 60fps? I have almost the same build but I can't max out Farcry 3 settings and still maintain 60 fps.
