Description

It's been three years since my first build and I've finally made my way back to the PC building arena with an opportunity to build with some cool new products. I've used most of my old hardware and created something totally new. The Spectre Project needed to be revived somehow and I have done just that. I have sort of a weakness for futuristic looking cases that like to escape the boundaries of what a normal case is supposed to look like and the the Conquer impressed me in that way. I am a fan of the open concept look and the glass on both the front and the back. It certainly has the 'wow' factor to it when I've showed it to other people.

I started the build this last Saturday at 1pm and finished it at 1am. The only problem I ran into was when I went to power it on for the first time and the operating system couldn't be located. I had to rearrange the SATA cables for the SSD and the Hard Drive and everything worked fine after that. My temperatures are staying low despite less airflow through the case. I did set up the fans on the CPU cooler so that airflow was moving downward instead of up. This way, air is moving though and down the case and works well with the GPU's since the motherboard has the slanted mount. As before, I couldn't publish anything without making sure the cable management was somewhat presentable. The glass back was motivation enough. If you have any questions, please ask and thanks for taking a look!

I'd quickly like to thank the people over at Cougar for making this build possible!

First I'd like to say; Holy Crap that thing looks amazing! And your paint job on your case is so much more well done than my "Legion" build.

Second: But can it stop reapers though?

Meithen submitter 2 Builds 4 points 19 months ago

Thank you! I remember seeing your Legion build and giving it an upvote!

Plot twist, the PC is a Reaper.

drferrell 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Wow! Thank man, that means a lot coming from somebody more experienced than me.

That's actually a better twist than the ending of ME3

Woah, never seen that much Cougar stuff used in a build before. That Conquerer sure looks ace! +1 :)

I think the case just makes it look like a high performing machine so your thoughts are natural, thank you!

ThatOneBudgetGuy 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

with a build like this, 47 pictures is never too much.

Meithen submitter 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

I enjoy telling the story of the whole process in pictures. = )

I love this build so much. Color scheme is great, but the thing I love most is how you creative enough to use the color scheme to match the non-sleeved cables - unreal creativity. GPUs look sick, mobo looks sick, case, logo, everything. So so great dude.

Meithen submitter 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Thank you! My first build had the colored cables and I really liked them but since there is more of an open concept with this case I wanted to see if I could make it look like they weren't even there or just barely noticeable.

Fantastic design, simple yet striking. Perfect, as I was looking for a SLI design and without custom water loops etc.

Meithen submitter 2 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I didn't know if I'd like the black cabling coming from my previous build, but it makes it look more discrete and simple. Thank you!

jayem02 1 point 12 months ago

omg, this is a masterpiece, i wanna copy the whole build just not in SLI and no paint jobs cos im **** hahaha!

Finally....someone else willing to give Cerberus the respect they deserve! :)

I was planning a Cerberus theme build in an NZXT Manta....but this gives me all new ideas. Well played.
