Description

I built this pc september of 2016. its a very solid pc for the price range. just upgraded from a r9 380 to a fury 4 months ago. I have been able to overclock stable to 4.4ghz. Bought the s340 elite case right when it came out tempered glass is way better than plexi.

Just a question, will you be upgrading to an R7 1700?

I will be doing a 1700x or 1800x waiting to see what happens with mother boards

You should also consider taking a look at the cheaper 1700 though, it can also OC to 4GHz, and the leftover money could be thrown at higher speed RAM sticks (2933MHz to 3600MHz), Higher RAM speeds give Ryzen CPUs a huge performance boost in games, closing the gap with the 7700K

I will do that I am going to be researching all of that and looking at reviews and everything I can find I appreciate the advice

Did you have any problems with your previous psu Corsair CS 550M gold? Is it worthy and well-builted?

Nice build! I'd tell you to punish it more to 4.7 or even 5ghz but I saw very little difference in my fx 8320 when I had it past 4.4 where I left mine other than heat lol

I think you could get a higher clock with that water cooler, i can get 4.6 with a 212 Evo so with that you could defenently get 4.8. check out my build if you want.

4.4 ghz overclock is too little for a liquid cooler. Im getting 4.7 ghz stable on a hyper 212 evo with fx8350. you could prob get atleast a nice 5 ghz easily.

Umm your CPU cooler costs more than your CPU

3 dollars off...

why.??? hue+, 1050 watt psu, expensive case... and then an old amd cpu... looks nice nonetheless

psu is listed for $40, $90 isn't a bad price for a case, and it was built well over a year ago.

but anyways.... its still kinda dumb.... and maybe the psu was more expensive over a year ago and the case isnt even a year old so there might`ve been a case update

the psu was a recent upgrade micro center had a refurb for 40 dollars because a buddy wanted to crossfire his fury with mine and see how it ran it ran benchmarks better but was a oven or vacuum cleaner haha. The nzxt elite case I bought when it released and was on sale at newegg. I had it in the regular s340 but hated how the plexi got scratched easily

I am saving the money for the 1800x i want to wait for the new amd gpus to come out and hopefully more motherboards. Right now i am thinking of doing thermaltake the tower 900 snow edition amd 1800x two of the new amd graphics cards (depending on specs) and dual custom loops but cant decide on motherboard i was looking at the msi titanium but i am hoping better boards come out
