Description

Getting 60+ FPS in Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Witcher 3...(Pc gaming library isn't extensive yet.... But it will be!)

So I got rid of the smaller form factor case. Reason being my R9's were suffocating.

Picked up a s340 and a asus z170-a and this is how it turned out.

why 2 390s? limits your expandability and in that small of a case they are probably air-choked and thermal throttling. Would've been better off getting a fury x or a 980 ti, but +1 for looking awesome i guess

Question!

When are you gonna OC that chip? It kinda deserves it with the setup you have going- 4.4GHz easy.

I am thinking about buying the 250gb version of your ssd. Is it easy to install windows on an m.2 ssd?

An SSD is an SSD. M.2 is just a port specification- but there are about 4(?) different types. Make sure you get one that matches your board.

No- there are 3 specific M.2 configs. B, M and B+M. So much fun.

I'm listing the main design. Yeah, there are a lot more of each.

Extremely simple, shows up just like any other Hard Drive would. :)

It is a nice build in a MicroATX tower, but how is the airflow and system temperatures? Perhaps you need to upgrade to higher RPM and airflow fans for cooler temperatures?

wont those 390s thermal throttle like crazy in such a small case? 60+ i guess in 1440p, either way u should consider a bigger case with good ventilation.as good as the strix are they are not gygabite they get really hot

What 4K display are you using?

Because I am just LOLing a Seiki 50"

Honestly in that case a NVIDIA or even AMD referance would have been better considering the size of the case.

Other then that +1 and great build!

Great build look forward to seeing how you cable managed it, I have the same case. I was wondering how a longer 390 would fit as i have a dual fan one. Looks like when i do crossifire ill go with a 3 fan one. how are the temps crossfired?

I don't know how my OCD will feel with that upside down corsair logo on the CPU cooler

+1 for the sick build

There sure is alot of talk of thermal throttling for an R9 crossfire system hitting 79 under load...and the s340 is wide open and has decent airflow. Removing the cable management bar and putting that on push/pull is about the only way to get more.

By chance, do you play Star Citizen I'm trying to buy the same ram since I'll get one 16gb stick and then 4 months later I'll get another. I just wanted to know if the game runs nicely on your computer with just one memory stick to handle the entire load. I know that 1 stick will do virtually the same process as 2 but I just want to know how it performs incase that isn't the case. Thank you if you can help! (Also, nice rig man!)
