Description

This PC is used mainly for gaming. However, since it is my main PC it is also used for more mundane tasks like office applications, general web browsing, streaming videos, etc. I had a 27" Dell S2740L in the fourth monitor position up until earlier this month when I disconnected it and gave it to my wife for her computer. I need the HDMI slot on my video card that was being used by that monitor for my Oculus Rift, which should be getting delivered sometime in the month of April.

Only actually have two mice: the one that came with my Logitech Wave that is gathering dust, and the trackball that I actually use.

What is wrong with the PSU? Haven't had any issues with it.

Seems like a lot of people will be going to VR, it is going to be interesting to see how that all works out. Anyway, nic build. I know some people think that 10 GT case is ugly, i might be one of the few that really like the case. plus..... It has a handle.

Well anyway, when people start getting the VR headsets, i would really like to know what the general public thinks of them

Nice build, but there are a couple things I would fix (IMO) The cable management could be better, so it is more pleasing to the eye, and that GPU looks like it is sagging quite a bit, or my eyes deceive me. But otherwise, +1!

That isn't the best camera angle. I don't believe the card is actually sagging though the picture definitely makes it look like it is. I'll see if I can get a better one later. The cable management does leave something to be desired, but honestly it doesn't impede the airflow and most of the time the case door isn't open so it isn't something that has been high on my priority list after installing the new motherboard/CPU/RAM/graphics card earlier this year. I'll probably get back in there over the next month or two though and get the cables managed a bit better.

I wish you luck on that!

Do you really need 10.25 TB of storage?

Probably not. But at the same time, I don't have all the drives separated and don't have 10TB of usable space. The 3TB drives are in a mirrored RAID array as part of my backup plan to avoid the loss of important files such as my movies, music, tax documents, etc.

I have this case. Will be assembling the computer in two days' time. Any words of wisdom?

PS how is the Ock?

It was modeled after this.

Doesn't make it less ugly.

To each their own. I actually like the look of the case and bought it back in 2012 both for the form and the functionality.
