Description

To start it off I guess I can say this was a pretty fun build and I really like the way the tempered glass shines with the NZXT Hue+, the case is alright to build in but to me feels a bit cheap compared to my last build in the fractal define mini c I have to say. I eventually want to get the corsair H100i V2 to put in the build but ended up going with the Cryorig H5 as a place holder for now, anyways I do like the look of big heat sinked air-coolers in a build. This build was basically the second option I wanted to go with, I originally wanted to do a custom loop on my other build (Unfinished Business) but ended up just buying a bunch of other parts for the same cost of the loop and built another PC and just took the GPU's and CPU over, I then replaced them on the other build with an i5 6600k and crossfire r9 380s I had. Now Im sitting with three PC's the other one unmentioned is running a phenom ii X6 1045t and a EVGA SC GTX 770 as a HTPC.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great CPU especially if you can find it for a good price.

CPU Cooler

Honestly a great air cooler I picked this up used for around 40$ and can definitely say it was worth it.

Motherboard

Always loved ASRock boards never had an issue with them and expect to get a good OC out of this board.

Memory

Great brand and low profile, was torn between this or the yellow tridentz ram, got a better deal with this though and I'm pleased.

Storage

Got this SSD for my OS and use the Drevo for games and what not, does what its labeled and makes the PC run smoother than a mech drive so I cannot complain.

Storage

Ussually go Seagate or Hitachi but got this for a good deal and always hear great things about the WD Black drives for gaming and quality.

Video Card

All I can say is I love this card, but where I live (desert of California) I run into heat issues here and there and might eventually get the kraken g12 cooler from NZXT due to it being hard to fine full blocks for this card

Case

Great case for what it is, like I said though feels a bit cheap in the power buttons and some of the cable management, buttons wiggle a bit and cable ties feel brittle.

Power Supply

Great PSU and also a plus that cablemods makes sleeved cables for this model

Monitor

Great Specs for the price and gorgeous colors without any light bleed in all three, don't know if thats just luck or good QC.

How's the SLI working out?

Good, I got the first card as soon as the launch happened and bought the second a few months later with the price drop, used to have SLI 970s and crossfire 380s, I know there's a lot of skepticism around it but I enjoy the look and the power of the 2 1070s is more than enough for me.

Hopefully whatever it is that you're playing is optimized without issues. I'm opting to get another card, too.

Oh geez. For a second I thought you had 3 Asus PG348Q's. That would've been so ridiculous dedication.

Excellent configuration, I like very much by cons that it must be just for the place between the door and the H5 ? :/

eh I play a lot more RPG and MMO style games so FPS isnt to important to me especially since you can get a solid OC on the refresh rate on the monitors to 75hz (and gaming on ultra on a game like the witcher 3 in 1440p i wouldnt really even get 144fps even with SLI 1070s so a higher refresh rate wouldn't really help there) to me color and brightness is more beneficial, and anyways three 25inch displays already takes up most of the 9ft counter-top my desk is using so any bigger and id have no room lol
