Description

Hello,

This is an updated build of my previous builds on the same system (Chikin Destroyer series)

I mainly play CS:GO but am starting to branch out to other games.

I built the main part of this system back in 2015 October time, however over this period I have upgraded the system in one way or another.

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask,

Also I want to hear opinions :)

Part Reviews

CPU

Can run any game just as good as any I7 - trust me :P

Goes extremely well with a GTX 1080!

Highly recommend!

CPU Cooler

Good cooler!

My CPU runs at only 19 degrees when idle at about 34 degrees when under full load! (Under low pump speed)

It has LED lights as you can see in the pictures, and the fans run super cool :)

It even comes with it's own software, which is great for controlling the fan speeds etc.

I had one minor issue about a rattling noise coming from the cooler, but NZXT had a fix on their site and when I applied it, it fixed all the issues.

Motherboard

This motherboard is excellent!

It has all the features you need, including USB 3.1 and fast boot - always handy to have!

Make sure to do a BIOS update though, there are a lot of bugs which is corrected by an update.

Memory

Great memory, does the job,

Probably the best priced 8GB DDR4 you can get right now, so get it while it's cheap!

Storage

Installed OS on this drive and other applications apart from games - gets the job done for the price!

Storage

Very fast SSD, with extremly fast read and write speeds(Read 550mb/sec - Write 520mb/sec)

It comes with a software which you can use to update your drive, and monitor it's performance over time.

Very good for the price.

Hasn't failed me yet!

Video Card

It's just great, can run any game I throw at it at very high settings 1080p 144hz no problem, would highly recommend for future proofing your PC :P

Case

Very easy case to work in,

Could of came with a better manual, but that wasn't a huge issue (wouldn't worry about it)

Also it only comes with 1 case fan, however this isn't an issue for me (as you can see my temperatures are still very low)

It is medium sized for cases.

Recommend it.

Power Supply

Very easy power supply to work with, (fully modular).

The wattage amount is great for me, and the 80+ gold was a selling point.

Has good headroom for the future.

Recommend it.

Monitor

Amazing monitor,

144hz is great, and I don't think I could revert back to 60hz.

It just feels so much smoother, and it really does help you play better.

Best 144hz for the price in my opinion.

Colours are nice.

Highly recommend it.

Keyboard

Nice keyboard for any gamer, the razer keyswitches are very nice to hear and to feel.

It's good for me as a typer and a gamer.

It's also quite small which is handy sometimes.

Recommend it.

Mouse

Just got this mouse to replace my Razer Deathadder Chroma which I have had for the last 2 years.

This feels like it has a better better build quality and better fits my medium-large hands.

I would highly recommend this.

Headphones

Great headphones,

Great sound,

Has 7.1 virtual audio which is nice, helps a lot in game.

Extremely comfortable.

Recommend it.

Just 8GB? That's pretty unusual. +1

Maybe for CS:GO I would think you probably don't need much more than a couple of gigs but yeah, for anything newer I would highly suggest at least a 16gb setup.

I am afraid you don't really know what your talking about :P Most if not all modern titles only need 8GB RAM, fact.

What's wrong with 8 GB? I'm perfectly happy right now with that much RAM...
