Description

I built this for photoshop, gaming and also i needed a new pc.

notes: I am sorry about the bad pictures and that i didnt take pics inside the case. THe insides are such a mess but i tried my best for cable management.

Problems encountered: When i first built it, the psu blew/ broke which ended up with me using an old 200w dodgy psu to power the system(no gpu) I sent the part back to wait 1.5weeks for a new one to come. The new psu came today and i put it all together!

Reasons for parts:

Cpu: I chose this as it was good for the price and had good reviews. Note i didnt get the "K" version as i knew i would never be bothered to even overclock.

Mobo: chose this mainly for the wifi which is pretty fast.

Ram: any ram was fine to me except i thought 2x4 sticks would be best. These sticks were amazing as they slotted in effortlessly and i had no problems with it.

Storage: I chose green storage as they last longer and i dont really mind the booting up times. 1tb is enough atm but i might upgrade in the future with another one of those or an ssd.

Gpu: This was the hardest selection as there are so many choices to choose from. I chose nvdia as i dont really like amd(no offence). And i chose the 760 as for the ratings it got and the price, i had to go for it! It is playing all of my games high/ultra settings and I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Case: I love this case. It looked so cool to me and also i liked the idea of really challenging myself with building mitx for my first build. And i love being able to see the gpu from the side. The case looks and is amazing highly recommended.

Psu: chose this as it has some good reviews and seemed good enough.

Monitor: this is a really good monitor i find. It has a good resolution, it has all the connectors and has had no problems so far.

Hopeful futre upgrades: SSD New cpu cooler more case fans(if space-all ready have 3)

I hope you like my build. I am only 14 and it was quite hard especially with the encounters but i just want to thank this amazing community for all of the reviews people have given and for so many inspirational builds i found =D.

Please comment!

UPDATE GUYS: I finished cable management and also put the wifi adapters inside the case on top of the hard drive bays! Please could someone tell me if there is something wrong with that but atm the internet works fine on it.

Original Color scheme! +1

Those are some pretty good over-the-pond prices too. well done.

If you are going to upgrade, I really recommend an ssd, the snappiness will really blow you away and really complement this powerful system.

Estimated 30C idle, 45C under load. Likely replacing the cooler this summer with a custom water cooling loop, though.

yeah seriously!!! Upgrade that to at least a 7200 rpm drive or expect a slow computer within a few months.

Maybe he cares more about storage than speed.

The price of a 7200 RPM drive is the exact same as a 5400 RPM drive. So what's the point other then shooting yourself in the foot.

5400rpm LAST LONGEr =p

I agree with that. I still have a IDE Maxtor drive that's at least 12 years old still working.

He cares not for the speed (as noted in OPs post above).

Or get an SSD to accompany it.
