Description

This is my first build (from philippines)

this build is actually for rendering video's and mass visual effects creation for tv commercial and teledrama on our country philippines.

Dual Boot

OSX = Work Windows 10 = Games

All Working Perfectly Fine on both OS'es

Most of the time i'm on OSX Editing photos and Rendering video/effects i just add some 960 for mid games CS:GO, DOTA 2, Dying Light etc. (my stress reliever) I choose gaming parts because gaming parts has the maximum endurance from heat (from tropical country)

Runs 4.7ghz 69degree 80% fan speed on osx when im on a rush render Down Clock when playing games 4.0ghz (gpu ates a lot of power no need to OC the procie)

Thanks for viewing

For Upgrades: 1. 3x Cryorig XT140 Fans - 3rd CPU Cooler fan exhaust and top fan

  1. HyperX Savage 2400 C11, will OC this to 3000mhz - will upgrade from HyperX Fury 1866mhz running 2133mhz osx, 2400mhz windows 10..

  2. NZXT Hue+

  3. ROG Claymore RGB Keyboard Blueswitch + ROG Gladius (ROG Fanboy Here)

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

at first im using a Thermaltake NIC L31 CPU Cooler and Core v1 case.. but i never get to overclocked my procie even on stock 4.4ghz .. when i'm rendering my temps go 79 degree 4.2ghz.. then i found this beauty cryorig r1 ultimate.. when i first installed cryorig (i only install 1 fan first because i have problem on ram height[vengeance pro]). at 1 cryo fan i feel huge difference on my temps when i'm rendering video my temps never go higher than 69 degrees, 4.4ghz 80% fan speed. and now i've installed both fans im running @ 4.7ghz never hits 70 degree.. very happy with this cooler..

Motherboard

best mobo i've worked with.. i loved the bios UI.. i can create OC profiles easily on both os's osx/windows.. loved the fast boot.. literally "FAST!" Boot. my windows boots 6-7secs max, on direct boot uefi win10, and 8 secs if you boot from clover with samsung SSD.. my osx boots 8 secs with avexirs ssd..

Memory

this is my replacement rams from corsair vengeance pro.. vengeance pro can only runs 2133mhz max both os. i tried really hard finding the right timings to run at 2400mhz but no luck. but hyperX runs 2400mhz on my maximus impact on one right timing tweak.

Video Card

i'm not into games completely.. my only preference on graphic cards is:

Good vRams (For AE) - ? 1080 gaming - ? can run GTA V No Lags - ? can run Dying Light no Lags - ? can run Cs:go no lags - ? can run DOTA 2 no lags - ? can run old games no lags - ? right for my budget - ?

Is there any space for a 120mm exhaust fan?? Maybe I'll build a pc like yours, with the same cooler...

iosxnoobpro submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

25mm thick won't fit.. can fit 12-15mm (thickness) 120/140mm slim fans only

zexinbeh 1 point 36 months ago

Okayy... The cryorig xt140 might help that

iosxnoobpro submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

upload new photo.. with xt140

AndrewColpo 1 point 35 months ago

Does the cooler effect the ram in anyway that you won't have to mess with it in order to fit it in?

iosxnoobpro submitter 1 Build 1 point 35 months ago

ive changed from vengeance pro to hyperx.. now it does not effect on fans

Did you get your nzxt hue+? If so, is your lighting profile remembered when you boot into OS X?

iosxnoobpro submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

yes.. but I can't change light mode on osx.. just remember the profile like in bios..

randomguyLayn 1 point 22 months ago

Omg, why such an expensive psu?

Can an exhaust fan fit or is the R1 Universal too big? I will be having a similar build. Parts come in next week and I already own the R1 Universal

AMD GPUs are a pain in the rear to get working on OSX if at all. Nvidia on the other hand has written unofficial drivers for their cards on OSX which makes most of their cards compatible with the OS. I'm a huge AMD fan and I long for the day that it's seamless to install their cards on OSX with unofficial drivers at least.

They use firepro amd graphics which are mostly workstation grade graphics GPUs. If you can find an enthusiast card that is essentially a rebadged firepro GPU then you can get it to work but you have to do your research when building your hackintosh if you are planning on going AMD. I have done lots of my own research as I have multiple hackintosh PCs that I've built and use regularly.
