Description

This is where I spend all of my time. It's finally mine. After about a month of planning and researching, I can finally play all the games that I want.

Recently traded my RX 580 for a 1070 mini! It's a beast but i'm still stuck with my R3 1200. ;-;

Traded my GTX 1070 for a GTX 960 with $400 CAD waiting for next generation Nvidia gpus. Bought a Ryzen 7 1700 for $230 CAD!

Part Reviews

Motherboard

Quite a budget motherboard. It does have everything you need, but not much else. There are only two chassis fan headers, but the red LED lighting is so pretty!!!!

Memory

RAM is RAM. It's fast and it works.

Case

A solid budget-oriented case. Comes with two LED fans and dust filters so dust doesn't get inside.

Power Supply

Its a great power supply if you don't want your PSU to explode. What more can I say.

Monitor

Good monitor for the price.

Keyboard

Absolutely blew me away. This keyboard is amazing! The 6 macros on the side are really helpful for gaming and work (if you don't have time to remember those shortcuts)alike!

Mouse

I love it! Plenty of buttons and it's RGB!

Headphones

Great for audiophiles who want to cut the cord. What else can I say!

I bought the same RAM, and it worked perfect for Ryzen. Why do you say that?

I think that my RAM stick isn't so great, I sent it back and got a new one that works great!

I would have bought less expensive monitors because you don't need game performance on these two anyway and paid more for a better and future-safer CPU (at least a Ryzen 5 1600 which cost 200$) and an 1TB hdd: the GPU is perfect if you didn't paid too much! Nice Setup anyway :)

The monitors were old ones I got from a while back, just put them in the list.

I got the 580 for 300$ CAD so it looked like a pretty good deal.

This is 100% correct. The 1300x isn't even a dollar more expensive currently. You could have gotten a Ryzen 5 1500x and an RX 470 for just a slightly higher price.

the 1300x will perform about the same as a 1200 if he overclocks it though, and depending on workload, the better gpu could help more than a 1400/1500x EDIT: Also atm the 1300x is $20 more than the 1200 - https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/TX4NnQ,Zk2rxr/

Okay, he could still have gotten a 1500x/470 combo that would have been way more balanced.

true but with current prices i wouldn’t be suprised if the 580 and 570 were the same price
