Description

My 4th build. My first build ever with Intel. So I decided to upgrade everything, including MSI GTX 1070 gaming X. But I kept the vintage case.

The steel ATX Chieftec case was bought sometimes in the late 90s or early 2000s over the internet. The old case could care less about cable management, so I upgraded the power supply to fully modular Corsair RM 850i. I also had to buy upgraded USB 3.0 /card reader hub.

Eventually, I will get a new case. The fan air flow is weird and the floppy cover is missing, so there is a gap now.

Otherwise, everything is new. I did keep the Toshiba 7200 RPM drive from my last build, but added the SSD and WD Black. I only bought from Microcenter and Frys.

Power switch was somewhat successful but had a fan error since I put the cpu fan in wrong place, Fixed now and everything updated, running smoothly.

Yesterday I bought Acer Predator monitor because I wanted it. Simple.

Comments and advice are accepted. I took a lot o,eadvice from here so thanks.

How is the monitor?

Oh I LOVE It. Except for the stand colors as it looks a bit too "Hi, I am 14 and Dad bought this for me".

Otherwise, no regrets. Has multiple modes and no true need to calibrate. I do engage in some photo editing, so I wanted the IPS.

Been very happy with size, response, color, and bleed (though that never really bothered me too much).

I have loved this graphic card. No issues, fast play. I use photoshop on top of my gaming, and there is no bottleneck.
