Description

I had this old Vintage 1950s radio lying about and also a decent computer (my old computer in fact). So I decided I would do this... And no this is not fake! This took me about 7 hours to complete, the build was quite difficult as I had to strip everything out to make room. Then I had to work out where to place the parts. In the end the DVD drive had to go at the back! If I'd placed it anywhere else it would have ruined the look of the build, as I wanted to make sure it still looked vintage inside and out. The IO panel was a nightmare as it had to clip in to the back, I thought It would never work but I managed to get a snug fit which shouldn't fall out. The buttons were also difficult, in the end I used scraps out of an old computer case to make the buttons work. The actual computer is decent but isn't really good enough for gaming or anything that intense but is perfect for everyday uses. I will add pictures of the inside when I next open it up for final tweaking.

This build will be for sale, if anyone is interested just message me.

Very cool idea. Did you mount some speakers in there? That would be cool if you had music coming out of it! You should also take some pictures of the internals. I'm curious.

Yeah I considered adding speakers as there is space but sadly I have no half decent speakers lying around :( I'll post pictures of the inside when I put in a nice new PSU :)

Could have sold the radio for a lot maybe since it's in quite a good condition. Other than that, this is pretty original. Quite nice too.

The Radio wasn't worth much and was just gathering dust, so I though I'd put some life into it.
