UPDATE 23/07/14 - I have returned the EVGA PSU as it was very loud. I bought a Corsair RM650 instead which works much quieter.
75 PICTURES! So after months of planning and picking and changing parts, and after i have finally sold my iMac...and after 8 consecutive hours of building... My first custom built PC has come to life. And what can i say... this thing is no more than a legitimate beast! And since i was a former iMac user, i had to get myself a whole new setup (except for headphones)... so i went with a 23.6-inch 1ms ASUS monitor, a Razer Deathadder mouse and a Corsair K70 mechanical Keyboard.
Case - So as you could see i decided to go with an NZXT H440 case after being torn between it and the define R4, this case is absolutely beautiful and very quiet! Add a few static pressure intake fans and its ready for anything! I don't regret my decision at all by going with this case instead of the R4.
The processor was also a last minute quick change. After sticking with 4770K for a while, i saw that the 4790K had come out and at a very similar price to the 4770K, with a stock clock of 4.00GHz. This Devil's Canyon i7 below the Noctua NH-U12S CPU cooler is definitely a good combo, i have never seen temperatures going beyond 70 degrees at full load and in the hottest days here in England!
Gaming wise... this thing absolutely shreds! The GTX 780 ACX is an absolute beauty and performs exceptionally well. All the games i play including Far Cry 3 and Watch_Dogs never go below 60 FPS. The only problem i'd say about this GPU inside the H440 is that it dumps a lot of hot air inside the case... not too much of a problem, however i did get 2 Corsair AF140's to try and help solve the issue. I also plan to get 3 static pressure fans for intake at the front of the case.
This PC boots EXTREMELY FAST! (5-7 seconds) thanks to that 250gb Samsung SSD.
Other than that... I am VERY pleased with my first build and i welcome ANY suggestions or recommendations to this build. I still want it to be as quiet and as cool as possible, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated as i am fairly new to this! Thank you for taking your time to view my first build :D I am open to any questions...
