Description

This is my first powerhouse build. I almost went for the Intel i9X cpu, but thanks to a lot of people telling me to go with Amd. It is finally here after many forms posts, and a lot of research. I give you the GOD OF THREADS! But I hope it can play solitaire at max settings, but in all seriousness. With this PC I should be able to stream, game, and 3D render all at the same time, with out any problems.

This wouldn't have been possible with out the amazing community on PcPartPicker. I spent months and months, coming up with this parts list. And it wouldn't have been possible with out this amazing community. So I thank all who have helped me, even the people who thought I was trolling, and that I would never buy something like this, and that I'm trying to waste their time. Also, Is this build done no I still want to add more Ram, SSD space, and this beautiful monitor https://youtu.be/bbN2Yi6paXc . Just have to wait for it to come back in stock ;). This is very over kill for gaming, was it necessary? No. But is a really fast car necessary when there are speed limits? No. It's called being a computer enthusiast. I hope everyone likes the build, tell me what you think in the comment section below.

"Is this necessary?" Nooooooooo. Is it amazing? Yeeeesssss. Thank you for gracing my computer screen with this build.

+1

Thank you for liking my build ;)

PretentiousNoob 8 points 11 months ago

you cant say nutrition without NUT

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 4 points 11 months ago

hahah you just made my day lol ;)

dragoon20005 4 Builds 3 points 11 months ago

jelly but hats off for the first few guys who have the treadripper build

what was your average power draw for the system?

average temps?

stock voltages it is running

whats was the RAM speed which was stable? I know 3200MHz is not possible ATM only at best i heard its only 2933MHz

any complains about the board?

will we see OC results?

i saw the other Treadripper builds and most complain the CPU install was the hardest to install

was that really hard?

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

I think they might have been joking. Because it was like a peace of cake lol, also i posted two pics at the end going over some of the stuff you where looking for.

dragoon20005 4 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

ah i see the scores look decent

prob dial in a good OC on the CPU and GPUs and you should be able to spank a few Intel Core i7 scores

hockeyboy1002 2 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

It could be the difference in motherboards. Everyone I've talked to with a zenith has also had problems of having to push down so hrd to catch the too screw it makes you super uncomfortable. In theory it should be the same socket though which doesnt make sense.

jenxoff 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

finally someone with amd > intel
All jokes aside though, great build!

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

And i was like a big intel fan boy to ;)

Nater650 1 point 8 months ago

head violently explodes

jenxoff 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

bdaydog 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

Those front fans on the radiator are intake, I assume? Great build, +1.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Yes and thanks. ;)

o_o 2 points 11 months ago

Damn. I feel a lack of need for my internal organs.

nakaman 3 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

Pfft I don't see the Xeon e7 and it's 48 threads that is just a thread demigod

Mtthwmths 2 Builds 2 points 11 months ago

lolol. fer srs though, ~$150 per thread vs ~$31 per thread and 16 cores instead of 15 is awesome. You could outfit a team of 7 with Threadripper for cheaper than one Xeon E7 8890...

E46103 2 points 11 months ago

The Xeon E7 would be no good at gaming it's only 2.0-.24 ghz base it's not all about Thread count

FurryJackman 2 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

This. Low clocks even if there's tons of threads just doesn't work for gaming. The 1920X from what I heard OCs to 4.1Ghz on air with a Noctua.

Mtthwmths 2 Builds 1 point 11 months ago

This looks amaZENg! :D Looks like it went together easily, pass that experience gained on to some of the Threadripper adopters. Should be able to play Solitaire at least on Medium settings! :P Hope you get a lot of great mileage from this build and enjoy using it at least as much as I enjoyed seeing it! +1

HeyDaddy- 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Just wondering why you went not one but 3 60hz 1080p monitor with such killer setup + graphics cards?

wackazoa 2 points 11 months ago

3000 FPS dude!!!! Although the 60hz is quite a buzzkill.

jenxoff 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Hmm? The more FPS the better.

wackazoa 1 point 11 months ago

Prettiest Christmas tree I have ever seen....... Nice build. I love that you had the guts to go with 2 Titans.

betterthangpu 1 point 11 months ago

All it needs now is some RGB

TADbuild 1 point 11 months ago

VERY NICE! Curious, what frequencies are you getting with your memory?

James456 1 point 11 months ago

amazing. you even got a theardripper.

Anarchoprimitiv 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Why aren't you using a High Bandwidth SLI Bridge? How come you didn't get an NVMe SSD?

E46103 1 point 11 months ago

Great built but this might have been a better cooling solution http://www.enermax.co.uk/cpu-coolers/liqtech-tr4/ not that the X62 is any slough

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

I actually had to return that if you look at the final one you can see what I used

ImABigFatGoat 1 point 11 months ago

Very nice build although i did notice that you have mounted the 1080's right below and above each other, and as this does save space it isn't very good for airflow as the top 1080 won be getting very much airflow because the fans are on the bottom and are almost hugging the other 1080 resulting in not much airflow. Maybe you could do a GPU stress test and see the massive different in heat and temperatures. But other than that brilliant cable management and nice color schemes as well. :)

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Thanks and there not 1080s there the Titan XP's. But you do have a good point, the reason why I moved them there was for the wifi card.

noo7na7 1 point 11 months ago

Hey, you think you can have like 20 VMs at once with this?

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

20 VMs?

noo7na7 1 point 11 months ago

Virtual machines.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

I don't know never tried it lol is there a program that can test?

noo7na7 1 point 11 months ago

Basically, just open 20 VirtualBox VMs at once with decent specs, I mean, after all, the 1950X is the best consumer CPU in the moment.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Yeah it would be worth a try and I have three monitors so why not all let you know when I look up how to do it

clayder 1 point 11 months ago

Hi, how can you fit this zenith into 570x case? I want to buy this case but worried i can't fit the zenith inside. Did you do some mod ? can you fit all screw without problem ? Pls share . Thanks.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Everything fits for me no problem

clayder 1 point 11 months ago

ouch, sorry my mistake . I thought you're using asus zenith extreme motherboard (e-atx). your MSI is atx, of course it fits. Sorry for this mistake.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Yeah I was going to go for that one and I should have because I talked to someone else and it fit in the same case and everything

elijahfmiller 1 point 11 months ago

GG.

itsalman101 1 point 11 months ago

Hey Adam, im totally shocked because it turns out that my pc build is exactly the same as yours. And the weird thing is that i made my build before looking at yours! But the thing was that i thought my build had some incompatibilities but after looking at yours i am assured that my build is optimal. thanks bro, and really adore your beasty gaming setup buddy

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

That's so cool well I'm glade to see that to smart minds think alike.

tsubasa_hanekawa 1 point 11 months ago

I hope this doesn't come across badly but shouldn't your firstrike score be a bit higher? from what I've seen the titan XP scores roughly about that graphics score with one card so two should be closer to 30K overall I'd reckon

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Well could be the SI bridge amusing. And also the ones you're looking I could be overclocked

MichealJoeden 1 point 10 months ago

Are the pictures outdated, the cables aren't there

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

No

MDub329 4 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

How does the trident Z rgb Ram work with corsair link software? That is what im assuming you use to control the fans.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

They don't work togther two diffrent programs

gantzypants 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

I have a h100i v2 cooling my i5 6500.

You have a h100i v2 cooling your TR 1950X.

I regret my purchase.

(Seriously, +1, great build!)

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Haha at least you don't have to worry about it ever getting hot at all. And thanks

IzzzzFiery 1 point 9 months ago

Howwww??????

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

What haha?

Nicholas.barsky 1 point 9 months ago

Beautiful set up you have! Are you controlling the colors on your Trident Z RGB and if so with what? I have the same setup that you do and am just curious. Just not wanting to kill my ram

dblgnet 1 point 8 months ago

Your second Titan Xp is in a x8 slot. All X399 boards are x16-x8-x16-x8 (despite marketing on physical size of the slot). Would prob help your score to move it down one.

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Thanks

mdpulliam 1 point 4 months ago

Nice work! With two Titan Xp cards, why not try some neural net deep learning on the side?

Whiteshadow001 -3 points 11 months ago

I used to be such an Intel fanboy till my Gigabyte motherboard fried my 5820K due to an overvoltage issue with a beta bios. I switched to Ryzen 7 and havent looked back. How's threadripper treating you?

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

Threadripper is amazing, worth every penny. Anything you encounter, this chip does the unthinkable, and goes above and over your expectations. Its about time Intel gets some competition. They were just going to milk the I7 CPU's. Tell AMD came out with threadripper. They released the X CPU line up to soon, and to add on top of that they over priced it. I'm just glade people convinced me to go AMD.

Because I didn't do the math 120 + 120 doesn't equate the right size for the x62 kraken

Adamt602 submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Yeah it all just wouldn't work out
