When I saw that speedtest picture I thought at first it said 10000 mB/s. XD Solid build and looks real nice.

Looking to get the r9 380 could you post some benchmarks?

A few frames better than a GTX 960.

How does the 380 perform? i'm looking at getting the exact same one

+1 for build, good job.

Its better than a GTX 960, as long as you get the 4GB version. The new Crimson Drivers allow the R9 380 to outperform most of the 960.

exactly why i went for the 380. the best of everything (imo) under the 970 class

Nice build. Does that monitor go with you?

***It is not a good idea to use a power cord coiled up like that. The cable rating is based on the amount of heat it can dissipate. When you coil up a power cord it cannot dissipate the heat as effectively and the cables can melt. Just food for thought. :)

yup. monitor's part of my build. so youre saying i gotta unroll the whole 25m? :P

Looks great! I just started building my 380t - also with the Asus z170i. Did you have a molex or SATA for powering your 3-speed fan connector? The corsair build log showed that I should have a molex. I didn't see it.

Also, I got an H100i v2 for the PCU cooler. it looks very similar to the GTX you have, but I can not get my 8-pin CPU cable into the motherboard due to the fan on the cooler.

  1. I used the sata cables
  2. Im pulling air from the rads (if that makes size difference lol) dont really know the thickness of v2 rads and fans.

Perhaps you could reorient so the tubing are on the sides of the ram?

Glad to hear you used SATA. It was late last night, and I thought I was losing my mind trying to find it. This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtKuWwRCPCY&list=FL96QOeJJuEx5Cqwp2fPMRqg&index=3 clearly shows that there is molex somewhere powering these fans (3:02). Why don't I have it?

To clarify, did you not have the molex either?

I am sure I can maneuver the fans on the v2. Maybe purchase thinner ones. Thanks for the fast response, Bud! I am writing everyone with a 380t to get various notes.

Maybe its an earlier version? I dont have the molex too. But id take anything as long as it powers the fans lol

Cool. I'm thinking that's what happened then. All of the reviews for the 380T, when it came out, were in the yellow model. I'm guessing the white and black didn't give molexes. As you said, "as long as it powers the fans."

So did I have it right? (FYI, I haven't finished and performed its first start up) The three fan connectors coming out of the front speed button are for the front/rear fans that came with the case, and the third is for a future fan if I were to buy it? Then just plug one of the SATAs from the PSU SATA cable, and that part is good to go?

Thanks again for responding.

Hows that monitor? Any good for gaming and do you think its better than 1080p?

Excellent if you dont mind that some games dont support ultrawide and have black bars on the side. But i use this for premiere and editing, so its absolutely magical!

I really suggest if youre gonna go ultrawide, get a minimum of 29" you'll be happier trust me lol

Once you go wide, you can never go back

Thanks for the response. :D I was looking at a few different sized monitors but i had hear that the minimum size should be 29" so i wanted confirmation from somebody who had one. I will most likely get a 29" and the games shouldn't be to big of a problem.

Just a question but with mini ITX motherboards, there isn't any CPU OPT fan headers for pumps or extra fans. So what did u use to power your punp? Did u use a chassis fan header?

i used the cpu fan header. just because the h100i gtx comes with its own splitter to power both the fans and the pump via just one fan header simultaneously.

Oh okay thank you!
