Description

First desktop. Named after my laptop that died a horrible death to an ungrounded outlet. A close friend of mine purchased the motherboard and case for me as a way to get me into pc building and gaming. Prices reflect time of purchase, manually entered prices are to the best of my memory. Current mining scandals have pushed the price of my gpu to 500 for a used one and closer to 750 new (5/26/2018). I had 2 WD's in the system but one died so I replaced it with a Barracuda for cheaper but larger storage. The Cooler Master mouse was destroyed by my kitten so I got a Corsair Sabre. I was using a small 20" tv with a non standard aspect ratio and screen resolution so I dumped that and got a Samsung CF390 22" curved screen w/ freesync. My games finally look the way they're supposed to with no screen tearing. I didn't expect much from the relatively small speaker system but it shakes my room and annoys my neighbors so it was a nice surprise. The processor is running a stable overclock with all cores at 4.0ghz running 1.44v.

Not the newest or best but it runs everything I throw at it like a champ. Planned upgrades: Jump to Ryzen, ( new mobo, ram, and processor) Larger case w/ support for 240mm aio coolers 240mm aio cooler

Too much power to the cpu. I had an extra 4 pin connector plugged in.
