as my hobby I build PCs and I sell them. This time I made the 'black beast' as the main function for gaming. All parts are black except the RGB of the water cooling. That way you get a nice effect. I ran a benchmark called 'Heaven' at 1920x1080 and everything high. The result was great. Average 150fps! The case is not super big but beautiful. The nice thing is that there is wifi built on the motherboard. So you can easily take the PC to somewhere. With a 120GB ssd the PC starts up quickly, and with the 1TB you have enough space for all games. This PC is also for sale for 950 euros.

What do you think?

Part Reviews

Very good cpu with a good price. 4 cores is more than enough for online gaming.

CPU Cooler

Very good cooler for this price. I find it a shame that the RGB is only available via a controller. This is in the case.

Very nice small motherboard with built-in wifi. I think the price is expensive if you can not buy it in discount. Namely 200 euros.

Video Card

Can handle all games very well. The design is also very beautiful.

I am curious about the reasoning of a 240mm AIO for an i3-8100 as it is only a 65w TDP CPU that can't be overclocked and it doesn't even have turbo boost. I am going to guess with a z370 chipset is that so user can upgrade the CPU to an i5/i7 k skew later on?

Though it is a good cpu/gpu pairing for gaming @ 1080p and should work well. For storage though I would suggest to add an intel optane drive to the build too. On coffeelake platform mid range and higher you can make it boost a secondary drive instead of the main boot drive so it would make the 1tb HDD function like a hybrid drive and have speeds in between a SSD and HDD. Great option for price per GB on a fast drive for a large steam library. Other than that great build.

Considering OP is selling this rig the cooler is more like a pop out at you sort of thing to intrigue buyers its not uncommon to do that. For example if you just look up gaming pc on ebay a lot of people mention RGB in their ad and then have like 9 pictures of colors the case can change to.

Well true and not all buyers are tech savvy. Though I always try to find a logical reason for spending money on certain parts.

I have a water cooling turned because I want a nice cooling. This CPU can also be upgraded in the future.
