Most of the parts listed for $0.00 (except the 650 which was one of my old cards and the cooler which I just bought) were from my friend. I got all of them for $170 and a meal at Taco Bell. So not the whole thing was paid in deliciousness.
The case was from my other friend and it's really easy to work with.
The CPU performs pretty well, especially for what I want it to do. Although, I'm thinking about picking up a Xeon because there are some pretty cheap ones that would work really well for running servers.
I just got the cooler today because the stock cooler that originally came with it was kinda falling apart. Thankfully Amazon was able to send it in two days!
The hard drive is fast and all, but I definitely need more room.
I used to use the 650 before I got a 770 in my main PC. It runs all the games I want to install on here perfectly fine (Civ 5, Minecraft, Arma 3, some others)
PSU is an OCZ, not much more I can say about that.
This build will mainly be used for web-surfing or playing RuneScape (yes I still play :D) while gaming on my other PC, hosting servers for games like Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and maybe Arma 3 sometime in the future, computer to take to LAN parties, and some other reasons I have yet to discover. It's been running for a few hours now and so far it's working really well. I will post some more pics that aren't taken with my ****** webcam. The Speccy picture was taken when I had the CPU fan speed really low. I keep it at 60% now and my processor is frosty!
I have yet to run any tests or really put a heavy load on it, but I will upload any info when I do.
This is my second build posted on here, however, I accidentally deleted the first one (which is the PC on the left in the pics) a few months ago. Oh well.
For the price, I'm pretty happy. My buddy actually thought there was a 120GB HDD, i7 920 and 6GB DDR3-1333. Besides a little less RAM, I got even better parts than I thought :D
p.s. Everyone should buy the rave fan I have if they wanna be awesome
EDIT: Gave it to my younger brother because he needed a PC. So far we added 4 more gigs of RAM and 2 more case fans.
EDIT 2: Buddy sold my brother a 680
