Description

MSI motherboard was dead on arrival had to get a Gigabyte H87M HD3 from CCL. Got a slow connection so not enjoying the PC that much.Ratings 8.1 everything except hard drive let me down 5.9.

So just have to buy disks for games and software until I have a better internet connection or go home which ever comes first.

Upgrades(:Hopefully;) CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i GTX 770 4GB or 780

Have one system fan currently and off late I have been having sudden system hangs during gaming so thinking overheating?? So not sure whats overheating GPU or CPU. Would like a higher frame currently getting 45 Ave, 35 Min, 60 Max in Battlefield 4

Not bad but I would go with 2 sticks of 4gb RAM and a less scary PSU.

Still a bad choice. CX PSUs are not made for high end rigs, they are made for budget builds.

Nope, i have seen many cx's in high end builds it really makes no difference when getting a TX series or AX series etc. depending on wattage and efficiency

Nice setup. As others have mentioned, the PSU isn't a good choice. I would change it to a better quality one.

How loud the GPU is? :)

Depends on two things the game and your settings

Far Cry 3 Ultra settings, no AA @ 60 fps, fan is operating at 80% its very loud. This is the same for NFS Most Wanted 2012. Got Far Cry 3, Saints Row 4 and Dirt Showdown with the card have never went below 60 FPS on these games. I will post Battlefield 4 results.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 at Ultra settings, Vsync 2, 30 FPS, Fans is around 60-70% I would say just a bit noisier than DVD drive noise. No Vsync 65-75 FPS, fan climbs to 85%

However I cant hear the fan most of the time cause of the speakers or earphones I have got on.

Battlefield 4 single player ultra settings at between 45-60 FPS but got the occasional drop to 36 FPS. Its a bit unstable at the moment will see after a few patches. At high settings 80-100 FPS with a drop to 60 FPS.

Can't really monitor my GPU because of the way Battlefield starts up so don't have frame rate for multi player. Got stable frame rate in Battlefield 4 multiplayer between 40-55 FPS was also hitting 65 FPS at times. Worked for me thanks to JayzTwoCwnts video on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6DOBV7QkLU)
