Description

Hey everyone this is my first completed build and I think it went pretty well.

It all started with my first build with an i5 4690k, r9 390 and core 500 case with a z97 nwifi mini itx mobo.

It was an enjoyable build and I enjoyed the small form factor until my motherboard died.

Granted, it was open box and anything could happen so now I know never to take that risk again lol.

Anyway, I collected some items for an upgrade and bought a new motherboard at microcenter downtown.

Aesthetically I think it looks pretty great and all the installation went smoothly but the case has several quirks. One fan mount does not work because it is too close to the motherboard and the usb 3.0 in the front has to go out of the back of the case and then plug in at the back which is a hassle. Had to opt for an aircooler but it helped me keep costs down to focus on the main important parts.

Very nice build! But did you know about the new gpus coming this summer? Anyways, hows your mouse? I have the rival 100 and I'm wondering if I should return it for the 300.

Thank you! And yes i have heard of the new ones; however, i purchased my current 390 recently and only just recently found out so id like to squeeze as much as i can from it. The 300 is amazing, really comfortable mouse definitely an upgrade from the 100.

Np, that 390 will last you a good while. Yeah, I've heard some great things about the 300.

Does the monitor really output 75Hz using a GTX 970?
