Description

(Sorry for the quality of the pictures i took them with my iPhone) I started building this in November and just bought things as time progressed, but i realize now that was a horrible idea. Because the more and more parts i bought i found cheaper and better options for them and ended up probably paying more than i should. But either way im happy with the build :) I will be transfering over to intel as soon as i can!!!

I bought this in order to game as hard as id like as well as produce music

Hello. Very nice build. I was looking at purchasing that same case for my build as it's the cheapest case that can fit a duo 140mm front fans and a 212 evo. What are some of the down sides of the case?

+1 for the build. No point in upgrading to another FX CPU, if you are using this PC for gaming, by the way.

Honestly the case it self is "meh" but there are other options out there but id say save your money and get the one you want, instead of cheaping out like i did.

Im actually considering moving to Intel, the upgrades are in my saved parts list ;)

It's double the money. I got my last case for £23 and was really happy with it. I went over budget on my GPU already and want to further stretch my budget by getting a H55/Seidon for the CPU.

It's funny cause we want the same build basically. 4690k on 120mm liquid+8gb 1600mhz in a corsair air. I went on a splurge and gota 980 for cheap though. Now I have to make cuts to make up for it. 10 times worth though. :D

That's a sweet *** motherboard. Especially for its price at the moment. However I think that going beyond 2 GPUs if very inefficient and if you're into doing that, X99 motherboards are better as their CPUs have more bandwidth for GPUs. I would say a 4690k would make a good threesome with two 970s. Or two 290s/290x.

P.S. I also do have the money now, but I don't want to spend that much on a case, which won't even improve the PCs performance. The 2300 has cooling options galore.

A very nice budget gaming build for the money you spent, and you definitely didn't go wrong with that motherboard, can't help but think you could have saved money on the cpu cooler though, the lower end corsair coolers don't have outstanding performance bonuses compared to air coolers considering their price, a noctua cooler of similar cost could have provided similar performance at a lower noise level. That gpu will provide adequate performance in games for the upcoming years giving yo enough time to save up for a high-end gpu in a year or two.

I'd love some more details on what issues you found in the case, I am considering this case for my own personal build as my current case does not support a standard atx power supply. I'd love to hear your input as yours is the first truly bad review I have seen for this case.

+1 for the build btw.

Honestly, this case is not bad at all and it fits everything that you could need at a budget price. The case didnt make any sense to me once i gained experience with cases and the HDD mount is odd and out of place. That being said, it is still a fractal designs case and it shows in the tiny (possibly pointless) details, but take a look around and see if you can find a better case within your budget and see if they stack up against it. This case provided everything i needed but the only thing was i jumped the gun and shouldve saved up my money to get a slightly better case but for the price i got i cant complain. If you think that this case fits what you want, then by all means id recommend it .

Thank you for the praise (⌒ω⌒)

Cheers for the reply, you've really helped.

I look forward to seeing your future builds. Keep Gaming!

SAO for the win! Great build and color scheme.

noap7 1 point 40 months ago

I'm new to water cooling and thought that id try and pick one up if I had enough money left in my budget, is this one worth in your opinion? Would you recommend it?

CiNN submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

Personally, this is a great, cheap all in one water cooling part, and it honestly is worth the money in the end

MrMeadows 1 point 37 months ago

what do you think about the 4130? doin my first build and looking to save some money.

CiNN submitter 1 Build 1 point 37 months ago

Id recommend getting the 6300, this one has a hard time with alot of different things

Mi_ga 1 point 29 months ago

Does the cooler come with thermal paste

CiNN submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Yes!

DanThePCMan007 1 point 22 months ago

Honestly the keyboard can't be that bad I've had mine for about 2 years and it's still good, plus my friend has had his 4-5 years Does everything you need it to do and yet some people (not saying you) complain about it because it doesn't have the features a much more expensive keyboard would have! Give it a break it's like 20 bucks. In fact my other friend with a Corsair whatever the crap keyboard has probably had more problems with his after only having it for a very short amount of time. Please put some more reason behind your crappy reviews or don't review at all.

CiNN submitter 1 Build 2 points 22 months ago

dude, i totally agree just didnt find the comfortablity and usablilty as nice as others, just an opinion

DanThePCMan007 1 point 22 months ago

Sorry, guess I just got a little salty. Haven't really explored the realm of keyboards anyways since most are so expensive.

CiNN submitter 1 Build 2 points 21 months ago

aye fam i feel that, what system you runnin rn

DanThePCMan007 2 points 21 months ago

Eh, i've got it built to satisfaction for now and i've gotta new monitor showing up tommorow. But yeah, basics: i7-2600, EVGA 1060 3GB, 10 gigs ram, 1 TB HDD (already used about half, may need another later), HAF 912. Actually started it from a lenovo m91p tower that I got for $52, came with an i5-2400, 2 gigs ram, and some other things I took out and replaced with a 750 ti, 430 Watt PSU, and I added 8 gigs more ram along with that TB HDD. Later got the 2600 off Ebay for $125, don't really know how much better it does for me yet cause I haven't thrown any big titles at this PC yet (plan to though gotta work more over the summer). It's a little over a year old now, and I would put it up on here but i'm either just too lazy or not enough time (Probably the first one).
